    @ Jeraldjay:

NZIC thinks that the AB’s have already won the Rugby Championship.

  • 362

    361 @ IAAS:
I think you will find that 97,56% of the rugby watching world also thinks that. 😀

  • 363

    @ IAAS:
Cause the AB’S are so awesome…

Couldn’t believe Justin Marshall’s commentary yesterday when the AB’S demolished the Wallaby scrum and eventually got the penalty try.
He was going on and on about how powerful the AB’S scrum is but didn’t mention the fact that the Wallabies was scrumming with 7 men, cause the number 5 was sin binned.

You get lies, damned lies and statistics. 🙄

True, and then one gets common sense…. 😉

  • 366

    @ NZINCHINA:
Not in my opinion. Not if the Aussies put up the same kind of performance that they did against the AB last week.

We’ll probably (hopefully) beat them in SA but realistically, that is the only other possible victory that I can foresee.

    @ Jeraldjay:

I think England proved in the first 2 tests back in June that the AB’s can be taken if placed under sustained pressure. But you cannot make mistakes against them and at the same time maximize your own opportunities. Aussie learnt that yesterday, England in the 3rd test against them in June.

They are still the one team that the Boks measure themselves – for good reason.

    @ nortierd: @ 365

But then again, common sense is not that common.

If you give yourself no chance at all what is the chance of pitching up?

  • 369

    @ IAAS:
England….now there is a worthy adversary.
They beat our juniors in the WC, and yesterday they beat our U/18’s as well.
They are certainly doing something right on the island

  • 370

    @ IAAS:
Pitching up is fine…if one really thinks any team (and not just the Boks) that scrape past Wales and Argentina at home, and then barely beat Argentina away, will seriously threaten the All Blacks, I’m just not even remotely convinced.

Honestly, why would we be a real threat to them if they play to their potential and we do the same? We had to pull out all the stops to win 3/4 matches against opposition that will never threaten world domination on a rugby field and most certainly won’t be in the running come World Cup

  • 371

As expected, the Heyneke “character” thread is up….I miss Divvie, at least he had some different sound bites every week

  • 372

    370 @ nortierd:

I agree with you on that fundamental point.
Based on what I saw in yesterday’s game against the Wallabies, ON CURRENT FORM if the AB’S play to their full potential and we play to ours they’ll beat us.

  • 373

    @ Jeraldjay:+

    I wouldn’t have thought so 😀

    @ IAAS:

I don’t think we’ve aready won it but I do think we will win it, do you think the Bokke can beat NZ in NZ this year from what you have seen?

  • 374

    @ Nama:

Yes but to be fair the weather and Peyper had a massive effect on the flow of that game, incorrect yellow cards, scrum rulings and penalties made them look alot better than they are.

  • 375

    373 @ NZINCHINA:
‘I don’t think we’ve aready won it but I do think we will win it, do you think the Bokke can beat NZ in NZ this year from what you have seen?’

If “character” equates to points on the scoreboard……then you and your All Blacks are in huge trouble…..we have oodles of character.

  • 376

    @ NZINCHINA:

I don’t think we will beat the AB’s in New Zealand this year.

But it doesn’t mean we can’t.

I trust that answers your question.

    What IS the game plan?
    😉

Thank you for the replies…you are correct and I look forward to your comments… Meyer knows what he needs to make happen, if he can achieve it is another thing altogether…
