Wasps statement on stadium move:
Wasps have responded over growing speculation regarding their possible future stadium in a statement on Sunday.
The Rugby Paper has linked the club with moving their games to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Quick to address any speculation given possible negotiations to move away from Adams Park in High Wycombe remain sensitive, Wasps have moved quickly to discuss the rumours.
“Wasps are aware of media reports in recent days linking the club to a number of possible new stadiums,” read the statement.
“Wasps has made no secret of a desire to find a permanent home which reflects the ambitions of the club.

“We can confirm the search for a permanent home is continuing.
“However, all discussions are subject to confidentiality requirements and are therefore commercially sensitive; as such they have to remain confidential for the time being and we cannot make any further comment.
“We appreciate speculation may be unsettling for our supporters and assure them we are working hard behind the scenes to secure the long-term success of the club and finding a new home we can all be proud of.”
Wasps moved to Adams Park in 2002 after playing their games at Loftus Road.

It’s about the team, not me – Weepu:
London Welsh’s marquee signing Piri Weepu knows what is required for the team to stay in the Premiership this season.
Weepu might be a big-name acquisition but knows he cannot keep Welsh up on his own.
Talking about the importance of team-mates being honest with each other and helping each other with aspects of their play, Weepu sounds excited by the challenge ahead.
“I’m here to push this club as hard as I can and I’ll do everything possible for the team,” Weepu told The Rugby Paper.
“Everything is about the team, not the individual, and if someone’s not pulling their weight, including me, I hope they’ll say it.
“There’s expectation but I just want to come here and do my job – and make sure I do it well.
“Back home I was always trying to help the younger players coming through and work on their skill-sets. If someone’s bad at tackling or passing, you get a team-mate to help out and do everything possible to be on top of your game.
“We need to adopt that philosophy and make sure we get better as a squad and do better than they did here two years ago.”

Racing may be fined 50,000 Euros:
Racing Métro could be fined €50,000 after the numbers on the back of their shirts against Toulon were ‘practically invisible.’
AFP report that the numbers on the back of Racing’s shirts, which featured in them a mosaic of pictures of their fans, could land the club in hot water.
€50,000 is the maximum amount Racing can expect to be fined given that their shirt numbers didn’t follow the regulations of the Top 14, which are that numbers must be “very apparent” (art. 378) and “perfectly legible and identifiable” (art.379).
The minimum possible fine for the two offences is €5000.
