Thank goodness this is over, terrible game, I hope they refund the 10 people who pitched up to watch it
It looks forward but you cant be sure from an angle that far back… ridiculous call, should have viewed from other angles as well.

I must still do my Bru picks for The Rugby Championship…

haha ek dink Ross het een game baie goed gespeel en motm gekry al was hy hopeloos die res van die jaar uit posisie gespeel.
Visser speel baie kak of hy speel goed, nothing inbetween.
@ bdb:
Wie gaan hy vir die Bulle vrystel?
Ai, more middag 2 uur kom nader, sal moet plan maak om gras te sny, hehe.
@ bdb:
Ek dink daar is ook krieket aan.
219: Ian Swartz asemblief !!!
YES, ek het n MP gekry
@ MacroBok:
Are you the oke from Mossel Bay?
I am starting to look for a coastal town to retire to. Needs good fishing and a golf course.
Not too small and not a city.
How is life there?
@ Charo:
Yep, It has all of those things except I gave up fishing a year or two ago 😡
Plenty of Golf coarse as you may well know.
Perfect weather 95% of the year, rarely too hot or too cold.
But it is not without its problems, there was Riots this week in the Formal/Informal Settlement that had the town “abuzz”… but I work there almost everyday anyway
Love it here though!
@ Charo:
Problem though is that the town has its cliques like almost any town in the Western Cape, so if you do not know anyone to start with it could be quite lonely to start with if you are new… Not as bad as Cape Town, those people are generally lame.
@ MacroBok:
Thanks mate appreciate that.
I prefer local golf courses rather than the high profile tourist attractions.
Is the wind as bad as in Cpt or pe?
@ MacroBok:226
You get cliques everywhere but normally golf clubs are better
224 @ Charo:
Huge amount of the country’s best Golf Courses in the Garden Route, from between Mosselbay and George (50 km between the 2), a few in and around George itself (Fancourt ect) and then all the way to Knysana and even beyond that.
If you are a serious golfer, THAT is an area to be, definately!
Mosselbay itself one can almost say is the Karoo by the sea. It is much drier than George, even if only 50km down the drag.
Around Heraldsbay there is Oubaai and a few other great courses.
Personally I would not live IN Mosselbay, maybe more towards George and beyond.
I lived IN George for 4 years, pre 1994… know the whole area like the back of my hand.
But remember, if you want to become a millionaire in that area, you need to take R 4 million with you… hehehe
As a retirement area, no problem, but don’t try to go make money there.
@ Charo:
Not at all, If your go to the George side the weather system pushed against the mountains over the coast so it is quite wet there. the weather rarely fluctuates as well so very little wind apart from maybe a month a year.
227 & 228 @ Charo:
George Golf Club itself… the old town Golf Club, is probably one of the best Town Golf Clubs around.
Used to play there often, very lekker course
@ grootblousmile:
Yep definitely not going to make money, but really good as a retirement spot, retirement village industry is BOOMING, especially in George… to Grootbrak, Kleinbrak… You could easily travel anywhere for the day from there.
industry = properties 🙄
@ Charo:
Gansbaai, no other place like it.
Golf at Stanford or Hermanus 30 km away, but Gansbaai course also not too shabby.
Plenty of bargains to be had in Gansbaai too, way below R1m for nice cottage type house within walking distance from the beach. Check it out on YouTube.
234 @ Pietman:
Yesss, Gansbaai even has a Jagse Jurie Japie and a Sersant!!
Hahaha
@ grootblousmile:
Haha looking for a place to save money, not make it. For me it will either be stay here in the Kloof/Hillcrest area or a smaller community where there is golf and fishing. Have played most of the courses in S.Cape area – all great.
@ MacroBok:
OK thanks. My biggest bugbear is wind. Drives me mental. That is why I had to leave CPT.
Fishing must still be good around MB?
@ grootblousmile:
Vestaa djy, soos Sersant sou se! As hy 20 min van die bar af na my huis toe ry, 1.7 km….slaap oppad, hehehe!
Baie karakters daar innie Baai…
@ Charo:
You know, you always hear about people catching fish, someone caught a huge rare fish the other day (ironically next to a rhino poaching awareness article 🙄 )
The good thing is there is a few fishing shops with many helpful people who have lived here all their lives, so lots of knowledge or currents and bait etc. So yes, I’d say you could catch something if you know the “field”. I guess I am not patient enough.
@ Pietman:
Hi Pietman, ja, have visited that area but it is too small and can get farken windy.
Also, surf fishing is limited.
You need river mouths and estuaries for proper fishing.
