Goooooooooo Rugby!!
Go Waratahs, win and win big
well done vrystaat and the stormers.. tipped both teams and they didnt disappoint
nice to see them helping the Saders to second spot..
the conference system really is rather unfair on NZ… one only needs to see that the last placed Blues would be second in the SA conference, thus highlighting the disparity having a strong conference brings.
cmon the Clan
@ nga puhi:
Well played Stormers,Cheetahs
Better sides won

I dont think you are right
Just look at the last 3 years up to this point
in 2012 top of the log had 61 log points and bottom 22
in 2013 it was 66/25
in 2014 if WAR win it will take them to 53 , if they lose they could stay at 48 log points
This year the games lost by the top 6 is 4(5), 5, 5(6) , 6, 8, 6
@ superBul:
Teams are more equal? To reach the finals with 6 to 8 losses
Waratahs leading 3-0 after 10 minutes.
Highlanders have a scrum in the Tah’s 22
Try Rob Horn, from their own 22
Great attack
Tah’s 8-0 Landers
Aaron Smith cops a yellow as well in the lead up to the try
Highlanders with an unforced error in the line out.
They have to tidy up especially only having 14 against 15
Timely turnover to the Landers, Tah’s playing at 90 miles an hour and are looking very confident
Landers hooker, Mitchell, off for concussion test
Highlanders penalty just short off halfway, 52m out.
Opt to kick for goal
Just short, good kick from that distance.
Mitchell failed concussion test and won’t be taking further part.
Another penalty to the Landers, much closer kick at goal this time
@ nortierd:
Nortie well played by your team yesterday.
Just one change in the top coaching position and the Stormers looks totally different.
Wonder if my team management would be able to see that through their blinkers?
Sopoaga converts this time
Tah’s 8-3 Landers
morning Norty. You doing solo duty this morning?
@ superBul:
Thanks SB, was a strange game, we outplayed you in the 1st half, but your defense was outstanding, and in the second half you outplayed us, but our defense was just as good.
Gert has made a huge difference, I’m sure his influence is part of the mini revival
@ Stormersboy:
Morning other SB 😮
Looks like it, will just update the scores until the powers that be arrive

Very happy with our result yesterday, hopefully we can repeat it next week, we really need to win that last game.
Still a very poor campaign, but we will take the crumbs
Brilliant break by Foley, opportunity butchered 5m short of the tryline
Tah’s backline look great, and their forwards have also stepped up and are getting parity at least, dangerous side this and that means a dangerous Aussie side as well.
Penalty by Foley, score 10-3 to the Tah’s

Wonder if the working arangement between AC and Small will grow into something great? Only time will tell.
@ nortierd:
Correction, 11-3 to the Tah’s
With each point the Waratahs score, Jake’s goal of a home final becomes less and less likely.
@ nortierd:
Yes, feel the same, I am taking comfort in the newer players that have stepped up into the gaps left by the experienced players’ injuies.
Kurt Coleman (Has had a good year)
Ruan Botha (future senior Bok)
Michael Rhodes
Nizaam Carr
Allister Vermaak
Looking forward to seeing some of the new bloods in the Currie Cup:
Robert Du Preez
JD Schikelring
@ superBul:
Will be interesting to see.
I think the poor start and subsequent log position also played a role, the team decided to have a go during games as we had nothing to lose.
I won’t be surprised that when the new campaign starts and all teams are equal, that we once again convert back to the staid safety first game.
I hope not
11-6 now, Sopoaga with another penalty
Go the Highlanders!
hey guys… (wrong thread i know… but a ‘live’ one…)
just a thought… meant with respect and friendship… please take it whence it comes…
isn’t it time to cool it with all the shark bashing…? does it really matter that some were thought to go OTT in the past…? or do we all just want to be just another cog in the machine perpetuating the cycle of getting back at those who irritated us before…? who’s gonna be the bigger man and forgive, forget, square one and move on… in Rugby…?
isn’t it time to let RT be the “friendly site for ALL rugby lovers”… Rudi wants it to be…? the site is the poorer without the input of sharks fans… charo, puma, SL and all the others…
use it… don’t…
have a great day all…
