I dont know how we are going to sort out these scrum issues, there is just not any looseheads available, bissie was so bad they made him hold the ball in the mauls 😀

    @ Just For Kicks: @388:
    Good summary!

  • 393

Ieuen Evans notes the big difference in tempo when FdP arrived on the scene. Say no more.

  • 394

I must say the replacements brought about some real energy… Started off slowly but ended nicely…

  • 395

Kyk, na die Bulle Vic gerus het teen Leeus laasweek en ons verloor het, kon ek slange vang so kwaad was ek vir HM en Ludeke.

Maar alles is nou vergewe, gou Bokke !

    Pleasure

Maar Ludeke moet nog baie regmaak !

  • 396

    395: gou = go

  • 397

    mooi so bakkies!

  • 398

OK now i understand the slow speed.

    Good win Bokke.
    We win with ease.

    W15 never gelled

This tries does not count as test tries?
Do it count as a test for the Boks?

  • 399

    Mooi so Bakkies…

  • 400

Now for the real test rugby…

  • 401

    Cheers all, till next week….

JP Pietersen has not done badly at No 13 at all today

would you play him there against the AB,s?

  • 403

how is it possible that someone can not be a bakkies fan?

  • 404

    @ superBul:
best way to find out is to play him against the all blacks at 13

  • 405

OK, who needs to stay and who needs to go in the Bokke?

    Forwards:

Jannie du Plessis – somehow the Bokke need to find a better tighthead prop, going forward
Gurthro Steenkamp – he’s over the hill – needs to go, double speed
Bismarck du Plesis – not one of his good Tests, he needs to sort out his priorities and buckle down
Beast Mtawarira – he was quiet, looks jaded and tired, needs to up his performance
Bakkies Botha – wonderful to have the enforcer back – he was great today
Victor Matfield – old man mountain is still on of the best No 5’s in the world, did not shun away from tackling and the hard stuff
Flip van der Merwe – solid No 4 lock, needs to be in the Bokke
Francois Louw – not a bad game, hard grafter, never looking to be flashy, just doing his job well
Willem Alberts – a bit jaded and a bit quiet, looks a bit tired, but OK
Duane Vermeulen – a strong game by him, no problems

  • 406

    Cheers all… Well done Bokke…

Go young Bokkies – go all the way…

Lyk of HM goeie diepte bou.

  • 408

I’m worried about the scrum and backline. Kockott outplayed Pienaar. Still not sure about the centres.

  • 409

    @ MacroBok:
Good Grief i cannot believe what i hear from you. You are really in total awe with anything HM does. Even worse than the Boss.

    Backline:

Ruan Pienaar – slow and cumbersome – needs to go, double speed
Morné Steyn – still solid, distributed well, tackled well
Frans Steyn – had a solid game, not flashy… worried about his half injury and him going to Japan
JP Pietersen – did surprisingly well at No 13, but he is also heading back to Japan… so although the experiment worked, I do not see him at the Bokke No 13 in the long run
Bryan Habana – had a good game
Cornal Hendricks – had a solid debut for the Springboks
Willie le Roux – was electric at times, great player, good under the kicks, great on attack
Lwazi Mvovo – great run as replacement, he continues a great season
Johan Goosen – he is going to France, which is a worry… and the jury is still out on him
Fourie du Preez – provided speed on the ball behind the forwards

    With this i leave

My wish is that we play better and better every game we play from now on. Then break away for the S15 and come back with no elusions who is best and pick a great settled side against the real foes.

  • 414

    @ superBul:
Not really, I just don’t see a point in going into every game negatively.

When a player does do well we can’t say everytime… ok well how will he do vs the all blacks?

Stutte is ‘n probeem.

  • 420

I’m just curious/concerned – will the older players last until the WC next year?
