KES Rugby has come on a lot in the last 3-4 years but can’t see them getting anything but a klap from Affies.

Affies have not been that flash in 2014… they even dropped out of the Top 20 at a stage

I was VERY surprised at the number of KES kids in the Lions last Craven Week squad.

Traditionally the Lions haven’t looked much past Monnas, Marais Viljoen and Hoerskool Alberton. Maybe things have changed.

Alberton and Marais Viljoen SHOULD be included in Valke area this year.

GROOT K@K at Lions schools and club level surrounding who plays where.

All Ekhuruleni schools and clubs playing in the GLRU structures have been TOLD, move or you don’t play. END OF STORY.

Alberton and Germiston Rugby clubs trying to be obstinate about it but Ekhuruleni metro’ have told them, “no move, no playing facilities”.

I expect it’ll come to a head in the next week or so as the GLRU and Valke leagues get into full swing.

It’s about time for someone with a stiff back to play this specific matter out correctly, is’nt it!

I spoke to the Valke CEO a while ago there in Delmas, about the same issue… maybe he took me to heart then!

Did I also read that Monnas (Monument) klapped them stukkend?

    Beaten-up

Been coming for a while. Lions just kept trying to sweep it under the carpet, but it came to a head 2 years ago and the decision’s been made to push through.

Can only be good for Valke Rugby.

If you consider that they’ll now have EG Jansen, Marais Viljoen and Alberton as feeder schools it’s got to help.

Then they need a decent sponsor to keep the youngsters and build the Union.

Had a good chat about Vivian with my old club head coach last week. Vivian was his club manager when he played for the “Red Devils” years ago. Seems he has Easterns Rugby in his blood.
