Yes, I know what you are saying. We will never know for sure how the Sharks were going to play because the tactical decisions were largely taken out of their hands. For one thing, Frans was on target with his kicks for poles and was much better in general play and Reinach played out of his skin. Defence was awesome and the Sharks did attack more with ball in hand because they were often chasing the game. Hopefully it will open Jake’s eyes a bit and he will give the Sharks more freedom to attack.

The 1st part I agree with. The 2nd part…not so much.

    @ kaksioek:
I think the sharks will be a lot more dangerous when they are chasing this year and not being complacent, I am still so undecided about the sharks this year, they could win next week and lose the last three if they have a buffer on the log. Pretty much the sharks will follow a similar gameplan to last week, like today. Fransie kicked his kicks but i think after the first try his general game, put the sharks under pressure, how on earth can he keep missing the touchline? I think Jake could well persist with him next week, but Fred and Lambie will be crucial this year, specially in the play offs.

Hey, you Tjarks supporters can come and crow about your team on the Reds / Rebels thread, for farks steaks.

We all now know they are the best thing since sliced bread…

    @ MacroBull:
Well, Lambie will be straight back at 10 once he is over his injury – no doubt about that. And Fred will also probably be preferred to Steyn at 10. But Steyn has made a massive contribution to the Sharks this year. That can’t be denied. His break and offload for the Sharks’ first try was sublime.

It just feels wrong to leave this thread for that one, GBS 😈

    @ kaksioek:
did you see terra holding slade back?;P no im joking. Look Steyn has shown good offloading ability when they have ran back in defense, and finally he does it in attack, but i for sure thought he threw the game when he didnt kick out, also he missed a crucial tackles in the crusaders try.

Tell you what even with our bad game last week we should have won had we taken our chances. We had more chances to win that game but somehow fluffed it. Hope this has set us on the right frame of mind and back on the right teack again. Damn fine win today even if we lose the last one in NZ. Don’t think Shakes or any other saffa side has won in Christchurch since 2001 let alone with 13 men at one stage. Heros those Sharks today. So damn proud of the players except for Deysel for letting the team down. Who knows with him there we just might have got that 4th try. Still ato come out of that with a win was spectacular to say the least. Shows the character of this team. This will bind them like never before.

  • 319

    @ Puma:
NO SA side has EVER won in Christchurch – even with 15 men.

  • 320

    @ Puma:
    fourth try you say? Whistling

  • 321

    @ Puma:
yep its crucial in this gameplan is to take your chances, luckily the guillotine set up for Jake has been relaxed this week after winning.

The red card i think got the team together, the saders thought this would be an easy 5 pointer, yet the sharks defended like they were 16 men somehow.

  • 322

    @ MacroBull:
    Yep, unbelievable defence!

  • 323

Will the Sharks supporters ever calm down after this game?

    Weary

  • 324

    @ grootblousmile:
The arrival of Monday normally does it.

  • 325

    @ Puma:
3 tries in their last 5 matches, I believe and here ou think they would’ve scored 4 in Christchurch. 😯

    Ai Puma…enjoy the win. πŸ˜†
