It is Round 16 of Super Rugby 2014 this weekend, the last Round before the June Test Break! We have 7 games in Round 16, with 2 game on Friday and 5 games on Saturday.
The Toyota Cheetahs have a BYE weekend.
In June / July 2014 the Antipodian teams will catch up in played games with the South African counterparts, when the South African sides sit out for 1 Round.
The Combined Log will therefore be skewed for the majority of the competition and one has to question why individual countries are allowed to start such a long competition ahead of it’s rivals. In 2013 the Australian sides started a week early, but at least they had the excuse that they needed an extra week in the middle of the year to prepare for the British & Irish Lions series, which they lost.

@ nortierd:
and just imagine how awesome they would be if the 5 or so currie cup players that the other unions stole stayed with them… those damn poachers
@ MacroBull:
“craven week”, not currie cup
150 @ nortierd:

@MB
Actually, they do have junior trail games.
We just know it as Grey Bloem v Paarl Gim or Affies v Waterkloof

@ Puma:
@121
Answer is no, no horses, no Boxing etc
It’s like a Superbru to me and I donate the taking to my old school
Rugby used to be different sport, applying some knowledge and insight into predicting results, all aspects considered
Last 3 seasons however it became so predictable that there are hardly any upsets, combined with waning interest in the game?
Phweeeew, what a day out in Ermelo, Mpumalanga!
I suppose I need to do the Super Rugby Live Game Articles, my Bru picks and then worry about Rugby News and new SuperBru Pools only tomorrow!
160 @ grootblousmile:
Hello GBS sounds like you’ve had a tough day, try get some rest soon quite late your side already. Am just away to put another article up myself…
161 @ Bullscot:
Yeah, a hard day it was… and on top of it, it was not to do my own business or sort my own problems out, but rather to do good for some other people in need…
My advice, expertice and our family’s financial help was needed… and here I’m not talking about IT advice… or burying someone…
We smetimes forget how very fortunate we are, how blessed we are… and today was a stark reminder… in fact the whole last week since Thursday last week was, with these matters.
ALL the Team Sheets have been updated!
Chiefs vs Waratahs: Friday 30th May
The Chiefs came tumbling back down to earth last weekend and were on the
receiving end of an earth shattering performance by the Hurricanes which saw
the Wellington outfit run 6 tries past the hapless defending champions. The
Waratahs on the other hand were the team dishing out 6 tries as they thrashed
the colour off the Rebels in Melbourne last weekend. So, one way traffic in both
matches but on different sides of the highway – will we be seeing more of the
same?
162 @ grootblousmile:
Sorry to hear of this sounds like heavy stuff, they are fortunate to have someone like you on their side, a friend in need is a friend indeed. All the best that side. Time to get some much needed beauty sleep cheer vir eers ou pel.
OK, the Live Game Articles for Friday 30 May have been scheduled… now just for my very quick Bru picks, then it’s off to bed!
Fark, this has probably been the quickest I have ever picked on SuperBru…. eenie, meenie, miny mo… wham, bam finished!
Thumb sucks of note!
Well done Reds.
Good to see Tanaka get a try.
Is he the first Japanese player to ever score a try in SR?
I think most likely, though I think the Rebels may also have a Nippon playing for them
