Former Western Province coach Alan Zondagh says Frans Steyn should play ahead of Morné Steyn at flyhalf for the Springboks.
Morné was not included in the 36-man Bok training squad named earlier this week due to commitments with his French club, Stade Francais.
He is however expected to be included in the final squad to be named on 31 May and many pundits feel he will remain Meyer’s choice for the No 10 jersey.

Morné has struggled somewhat in France this past season, but his experience and familiarity with Meyer’s structures are likely to count in his favour.
Zondagh agreed that Morné still has a lot to offer the Boks, but feels Frans should get the nod for the No 10 jersey in the June Test matches.
Zondagh said on current form, Morné cannot be picked ahead of Frans.
“Heyneke also sees Frans play every weekend and if he’s not going to be utlised at flyhalf, where will he play?” questioned Zondagh.
The other flyhalves in the Bok squad are Johan Goosen and Marnitz Boshoff.
It appears though that the Sharks pivot is not too keen on playing in the No 10 jersey.
He said that there are players doing better than him at flyhalf.
“I have a lot to work on when it comes to my game at flyhalf. I haven’t played there for four years and to come back and adjust is not easy. Hopefully Pat Lambie returns shortly so I can move back to centre,” said Steyn.
The Springboks start their year with a game against the World XV at Newlands on 7 June, followed by 2 Tests against Wales (Durban 14 June and Nelspruit 21 June) and 1 against Scotland (Port Elizabeth 28 June).
