Michael Rhodes of the Stormers has been issued with an off-field yellow card for contravening Law 10.4 (j) Lifting Tackle during their Super Rugby match on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the 27th minute of the match against the Lions at Newlands.
An off-field yellow card may be issued by the SANZAR Citing Commissioner for foul play incidents that are very close to, but in his opinion do not meet the red card threshold for citings.
In this case the referee for the match did not act upon the incident. Upon further review of the match footage the Citing Commissioner deemed an off-field yellow card was appropriate.
Was as plain as day on the tv replays.
How Berry missed it only he and his Mother will ever know.
HOWEVER, the “stamping incident” by Faf de Klerk can be commented on in the same light.
Piss Poor officiating yet again.

Agree on both, and Deon was very, very lucky not to get a red…..come to think of it, so were the Lions. We scored both our tries and just about all our points when he was off on a yellow, so a red for Deon could have meant a scarce 4 try bonus point for the Stormers.
