C’mon Bulls, let loose and run at them.
Run in the gaps and avoid contact. Would love to see Serfontein make space and gaps for JJ and Basson to have a run for a change.

The Hurricanes forwards are not up to scratch.. or usually are’nt…. so the Bulls should play typical Bulls rugby.
They must soften them up in the forwards, control the set pieces, pick and go close to the forwards pack with their massive runners… and only then after they have drawn in all the defenders, moer the Canes out wide.
They must’nt give the Canes broken play ball and let the game go too loose and the Bulls kicking game must put the ball either well behind the Canes back 3 or kick out into the stands so that quick lineout throws cannot be taken.
Bulls must maul the Canes senseless!
Make the game too loose and Beauden Barrett and the dangerous Canes backline runners will make you pay.
Bulls must play right IN the Canes faces, and play possession and territorial rugby… no senseless and aimless kicking in this game, please!

@GBS, yes, they must and will play to their strengths, but I just hope when they do swing the ball, they stop running into contact and look for the gaps.
That’s what the Chiefs did, and 5 tries later.
Serfontein is wasted playing the crash ball, the kid can find space and is difficult to bring down, so if he takes the gap and gives JJ some space imagine how devastating they can be
Bulls by 5 ! 😀
Lets see if I can claw my way up the superbru chart!!
Just watched a few replays of Bulls games this season and Francois Hougaard must be the worst defender in the team. The number of times he gets bounced in the tackle is remarkable. 🙄
good to see Vito back, wont be enough imo for the Canes.
Nz teams this year seem to be impervious to laying a platform up front, bar the Chiefs, so not expecting anything remotely decent from the Canes.
IF the bulls are smart (thats a massive IF) then they should win this game.
Steve Walsh as ref, unlucky Bulls and Canes.
Stuart berrys performances this year must be a worry for ALL SA teams when they tour, though I expect it should be a nice season, what with Saffas having no real course for outrage in regards to reffing, having set the standard early.
The Hurricanes love to run with the ball but they are weak upfront. If we run at them, they will beat us. We need to play the game in their half, forcing them to run in their own half, forcing turnovers, putting pressure on them, and the points will come.
Against the Canes a structured game is essential.
Still the Bulls know this.
It fits their game plan to a T. The key is to force them to play your way, and not be suckered into playing their way.
The team that does that best will win.
@SB
I’m not sure I agree that they are weak up front, more weaker in execution and less structured. We know the NZ sides don’t put to much emphasis on forward orientated play, so the Bulls will be the better structured side there.
However, we also need to start fighting fire with fire when the ball gets to the backline. Crashball after crashball after crashball gets staid. Both Jan and JJ are exciting runners if allowed to stop looking for contact and look for space.
If the Canes front up and nullify the Bulls forwards then they will win because they are willing to run with their backline while the Bulls won’t change their approach.
I wonder if Ludeke is again going to substitute Stegmann and throw the game away again?
@ nga puhi:
Morning all.
Now you will see the original true Blues in action, not the Auckland clones….
