Some high run chases so far.
I’m hoping CSK win today, surprised that they couldn’t defend 200 plus the other day. They need the win today.
Sunrisers were successful last year playing at home, now they will struggle defending small totals on neutral venues. Steyn still bowled well though, he is a class act.

CSK should win… you never know though… if it is your day – it’s your day…

    Enjoy…

Yep, DD already took one scalp.
If Warner gets going, who knows?

    Very quiet day on RT
At least it’s looking like Chennai will take the match tonight, Delhi in all sorts of trouble already.

Hello nortierd, have not followed the IPL this year yet, but was reminded about it yesterday by my uncle who supports Mumbai Indians, I probably loosely ‘support’ Bangalore as when it all started they had favourite South African players, haven’t looked through all the squads this year. Had a look at the log and fixture lists and was wondering why are they playing in the UAE at the moment, then later get going in India?

I think it’s because they are having elections in India that the first few rounds are in the UAE, but I stand corrected. I’m not 100% sure that that is the reason, I recall reading something to that effect a while back.
Mumbai are struggling without the Tendulkar factor and the fanatical home support, but it’s still early days.

Literally the largest election in the world, with over 800 million voters.

An elderly Man United supporter who has been supporting them since the 60’s told me recently that he has lost interest in the English Premier League this season…

I feel the same way about the Stormers this season. Could hardly get a beer in the fridge previously but now can catch up in the 2nd half…

    368 @ Tuff Gong:
That’s the problem when a team has been successful, it is hard for their supporters when it goes away as they have this sense of entitlement which blurs their judgement. I see David Moyes got the sack this morning, thing for me is that he didn’t inherit the best of squads and has had to contend with injured or out of form players, yes last year Man U did win the title well but I feel that the competition has improved this year, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal far stronger, and even Man City who were good last season got even better this year. Last season’s success for Fergusson in his final year for me came down to one player above all – Van Persie who carried them especially through the early half of the season when Rooney was injured, don’t know how many goals Van Persie ended up last season compared to this season but it must have been at least twice as many. Who knows, had he stayed and scored those goals maybe Arsenal would have won the title last season instead of Fergie’s lot. I guess the last straw must have been seeing Moyes old club beat them twice this season and will be ending above Man U, but Martinez is a good manager. It was always going to be hard for whoever took over from Ferguson, but he can’t be doing bad financially to be released within the first year of a six year contract, would be interesting to see the detail of the payout clauses and how much Moyes walks away with. Wonder if your Man U supporter also lost interest in football in Fergie’s early days at the club when they were winning nothing…

    366 @ nortierd:
Thanks nortierd. Just had a look at Bangalore’s squad, wow quite a collection of fantastic batsmen in Kohli, de Villiers and Chris Gayle and see Yuvrav Singh and Albie Morkel have also joined this year, add to that some really good bowlers in Mitchell Starc and Murali, but I suppose you would find lots of stars in all the other teams as well.

That will be some logisitical test MacroBull!

    @Bullscott
RC have a fantastic side, Kings XI Punjab with Maxwell and Miller on song are looking very good. They have already had two run chases, one over 200 and this weekend 190 odd, that they got the total with more than an over to spare.
Chennai is also a dangerous side.
