Super RugbyIt is Round 11 of Super Rugby 2014 this weekend! We have 6 games in Round 11, with 3 games on Friday and 3 games on Saturday.

The Crusaders, Lions & Melbourne Rebels have bye weekends.

In June / July 2014 the Antipodian teams will catch up in played games with the South African counterparts, when the South African sides sit out for 1 Round.

The Combined Log will therefore be skewed for the majority of the competition and one has to question why individual countries are allowed to start such a long competition ahead of it’s rivals. In 2013 the Australian sides started a week early, but at least they had the excuse that they needed an extra week in the middle of the year to prepare for the British & Irish Lions series, which they lost.

Daai Sharks agterlyn kan Vrydag aand bietjie meer aan die hardloop gaan, that’s a very fast backline and for me Jordaan and Steyn make a better center combo.

  • 9

    @Sharkie
    Lekker en jy?
No complaints here. Your pozzie sorted out now I hope.

  • 10

    @ nortierd:

Good this side boet, and yes soughted!!! πŸ˜‰

    @S_F
    Great stuff
Book hom maar voorlopig vir wanneer die Guppies teen die Stropmpoppies speel Wink
The whole Stormer posse can pull up there and if we win we will cause havoc and break the place down, but be careful, if we lose we might get nafie and really cause damage

It is something we can talk about closer to the time, see how busy we are and if not book the one facility just for us.

    Will be great.
We got together at Gena’s place after you got hit by the damage.
It was fantastic seeing everybody again and meeting Gena.
Wonderful hospitality and really great guy.
Pity that the losie at Loftus isn’t available, was really nice getting together there as well, the rugby was secondary to having a yarn with the guys.

For sure boet, We will talk about it for sure closer to the time.

Now to hopefully get a full house of wins on Superbru this weekend. I have really sucked so far.

    16 @ Blue Bird:

    Hello Carol,

I see it is Robzim that is keeping you top of our pile…. πŸ™‚ only joking of course… πŸ™‚

Anyhow I read the Roar a lot and never noticed they do selections there and they give their reason each why they pick a team. Just copied the last bit for you. So go with you has the best % there.

I see with who they mostly picked there I have more or less the same. I went with Blues where as most there go with the Tahs. Also went with Stormers and Bulls most have Stormers and only one has the Bulls.

Carol think Stormers will win this weekend I feel. Cheetahs not playing great, then again they do have Brussow back. He might make a difference. Still think Stormers will win the battle in Bloem…

  • 22

    I have gone with:

    Blues
    Brumbies
    Sharks
    Canes
    Bulls
    Stormers

Only see now that Flip is banned for 3 weeks so not 100% sure now, still think Bulls should win this one. Then Force are playing good rugby except for last week when they had a short turn around. They also have so many saffas in their side.

  • 23

Hope Swiel has his kicking boots on this week as doubt Steyn can take all the kicks. He seemed in a lot of pain last week taking the kicks. Also not sure why the heck Deysel made him take the last penalty when there was only 30sec left on the clock as we had by then won the game. Was not necessary and only put more pressure on his knees for nothing. Well I thought so.

I personally would have liked to see a extra hooker and lock on tour.

Not sure why South African teams are only allowed to tour with a squad of 27 as we go for 4 weeks not 2 like many of the Aussies and New Zealand teams do. We should be allowed to take 30 in our squad just because of our longer tour.

  • 25

Thought Brussouw had such a good game last weekend, I was one of those thag believed he got too much credit last year and people overemphasized his worth, but if he can keep this up not even HM can ignore him.

  • 26

    Hi Puma

My picks are more like The Roar than yours, was just about to submit then I had a wobble on the Stormer’s game……!!

Robzim looked over my shoulder when I did my picks in SA and was astonished how quickly I made my decisions!!

I explained my method and he decided it was just ‘Female Intuition’ and zero skill!! πŸ˜†

    Thanks for your comments

  • 27

    @ Puma:

To be honest, the pressure building now…..

I have the hopes of the Nation on my shoulders!! πŸ˜‰

    One hint…

Don’t choose your team when they play The Sharks this season!! 😎

  • 29

    @ Blue Bird:
At least we don’t play the Sharks again in SR. But hopefully this week I will do better.

    26 @ Blue Bird:

Good for you Carol getting those picks almost spot on.

Yip you our resident Brit here and beating us hands down here. πŸ™‚

Good luck for this week. Hope you claim the number one spot back. Our only female on this site and you kicking our butts here… Wink
