The “Recent Comments” is something I disable when I want the site to have a bit more speed. The Plugin has to search for (querie) ALL Comments to list them… so it unavoidably increases load times.

WordPress is ‘n baie goeie platform om mee te werk, maar soos enige van die blogging platforms, werk dit hand aan hand met ‘n Database (SQL in hierdie geval), om jou comments en artikels te stoor en te orden.
Web Hosts het verskillende pakkette… ons is reeds so 4 of 5 trappe op na ‘n besigheidspakket, maar ons deel steeds op ‘n Shared Server saam met kloooomp ander Domains by die web hosts, om die koste binne perke te hou.
Ons is nou al bitter naby daai grens waar ons sal MOET oorskuiwe na ons eie Dedicated Server by die web host (in welke geval net ons en geen ander Domain gehuisves word nie), maar mens praat dan van ongeveer R 2 000.00 per maand se hosting koste… wat uit MY PERSOONLIKE sak sal moet kom.
Daar is baie faktore wat mens moet oorweeg wanneer jy web hosts kies…. koste, bandwydte, CPU Throttling, Added Extras, Ability to get stats, an own Control Panel, Usage and Allowed storage size, Amount of E-Mail Addresses and Domains allowed, reliability and Uptime…. ensovoorts…
