It is Round 7 of Super Rugby 2014 this weekend! We have 6 games in Round 7, with 2 games on Friday and 4 games on Saturday.
The Lions, Toyota Cheetahs & Western Force have bye weekends.
In June / July 2014 the Antipodian teams will catch up in played games with the South African counterparts, when the South African sides sit out for 1 Round.
The Combined Log will therefore be skewed for the majority of the competition and one has to question why individual countries are allowed to start such a long competition ahead of it’s rivals. In 2013 the Australian sides started a week early, but at least they had the excuse that they needed an extra week in the middle of the year to prepare for the British & Irish Lions series, which they lost.

SANZAR has removed the names of three referees from their list of appointments for the next two rounds of Super Rugby, following poor performances.
Australian James Leckie, South Africa’s Lourens van der Merwe, who is just back from injury, and Argentinean match official Francisco Pastrana are the casualties of SANZAR’s ‘performance review’.
Nick Briant will replace Pastrana and referees the Round Seven encounter between the Crusaders and the Hurricanes in Christchurch on Friday.
Steve Walsh will replace Van der Merwe and oversee the Blues versus Highlanders clash in Auckland on Saturday.
Leckie was not appointed for any specific matches, but his recent performances meant he also became a casualty of the performance review.
Maybe the Stormers will cause an upset?
🙂
I guess not, keep your money in the pocket
The Bulls should take it, the new ‘Super Neutral’ Ref Joubert will not help the Bulls, they will have to do it themselves 😉
the reserve hooker is a concern 🙁
The Sharks seemed to resigned for their 2nd defeat this season under a Neutral referee Pollock
I’ll reserve my honest opinion for the match summary 😉
