Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg has been given a three-week ban following his red card in the Six Nations against Wales on Saturday.
It means the 21-year-old will miss Glasgow Warriors’ Pro12 encounters with Scarlets, Ospreys and Treviso.

Hogg was called to a disciplinary meeting in London after being sent off in the 51-3 defeat at Cardiff.
And the committee said his punishment would have been longer had he not shown so much remorse.
The disciplinary committee, chaired by Ireland’s Mark McParland, along with England’s Jeremy Summers and Italy’s Achille Reali said that an offence of playing an opponent without the ball should have resulted in an “entry-point of a five-week playing suspension”.
“The player did not contest the red card,” it said in a statement. “The disciplinary committee found that there were no aggravating factors and granted the player a 40 per cent reduction to account for mitigating factors, including the player’s remorse for the incident both on the day of the match and subsequently through the media.”
Hogg was shown a red card for a late challenge on fly-half Dan Biggar in the 22nd minute on Saturday and has apologised to both his opponent and the referee.
He became only the third Scotland player to be sent off in a Test match, following Nathan Hines in 2002 and Scott Murray in 2006.
Referee Jerome Garces initially sin-binned Hogg for the tackle but changed his decision to a red card after viewing the incident on the big screens at the Millennium Stadium.
It meant that Scotland played almost an hour of the game with 14 men and suffered their biggest Six Nations defeat as the home side ran in seven tries.
Scotland’s defeat in Wales meant outgoing head coach Scott Johnson’s side finished second bottom of the Six Nations table with only one victory, against Italy in Rome.
Johnson had defended Hogg, saying that the full-back was not a dirty player.

Think Hogg got lucky with only a three week ban for that. Was really late and wreck less charge. But then again getting the red card so early on means it has almost been a 4 match ban. Pity for Glasgow Warriors who won’t have him for 3 crucial games as they are chasing qualification for PRO12 play off spots. At least fullback Peter Murchie who has been injured for most of the season has recently returned to playing so that will help things a little for Glasgow.
