Great inside pass from Scott to Seymour and into the corner. Laidlaws conversion good too.
Scotland 14 / 9 France (23 min)
Scrumming is just a disaster on this pitch
Ping pong ends in a slice off Pissons boot to set up a Scottish line out on the French 10 line
Another penalty to France. Touch on Scots 22 found
French line out is an absolute mess. Scots steal again
End up in French 22 with a scrum
Much better play. Scots hard on attack, 5m out, French turnover, and they run the ball back to the halfway line, where they knock on. Scot scrum
Scrummed popped. France penalty. Touch on Scots 22 found
Can the french get this line out?
They do, at last, and it Scots penalised. Kickable
Maxime Machenaud misses, and thats Lemons.
Scotland 14 / 9 France (Half Time)
2nd half on
Poor chip by Hogg blows a try scoring chance
Intercept try by Yoann Huget who runs the full length of the field. Poor missed pass by Scots when they were well on attack. Daft pass.
Conversion good
Scotland 14 / 16 France (46 min)
Scotland going nowhere fast now, and giving away too many penalties to boot
….and another one thats 11-2 penalties conceded now. You will never win a match this way
Just to give the Scots a helping hand, the French line outs are deteriorating further – thats another skew throw in
Poor handling is turning this into a pretty average game, to say the least. France scrum, just inside their own half
Scotland have had 80% possession in the second half, and have nothing to show for it
Scotland get a penalty, possibly just a tad too far, but Laidlaw sets the ball up for the penalty
Nope, too short. French 22 drop out
Another penalty to Scotland, this time closer, and more kickable
….and OVER. Scotland back in front.
Scotland 17 / 16 France (62 min)
The French are a disgrace to the game of rugby
They belong between the second tier countries and have no business playing in any decent big tournaments
They should just pissoff and concentrate on soccer, not they are any better there
Great scrummaging by the Scots win them the turn over.
Bastareaud busts a row or 2 of the Scots defence, to almost score for the French, but some awfully sloppy play brings the scrum right back to the halfway line, with a Scots put in
