Biff has scored some of his best runs from this position before

  • 242

Haha hey boet how’s things? Keeping your powder dry?

  • 243

I’ll bet you are about sick of this rain by now…..

  • 244

    Come on Biff

  • 245

    @ Stormersboy:
😆 yup but at home now, floods at work wreaking havoc,

    Petersen goes

  • 246

The test is slipping down stream fast than a Ferrari at full flight.

  • 247

South Africa’s opening partnerships were pathetic to say the least.

  • 248

    Smith out for 3

  • 249

    Elgar Bowled neck and crop

  • 250

Oh dear you were right Ben. What a shame Smith went so cheaply.

  • 251

SA 15/3! How can one team’s bowlers and batsmen do so well and another so poorly on the same pitch, one of the many mysteries of the game we love

  • 252

A couple of months ago the Aussies were useless, they regroup, and you can see the mental attitude they have, I have said it so many times our sportsmen are not being prepared mentally like they should be, there is no difference to them and us when it comes to talent or skill etc.

They have come at us with a very agro game plan and we have capitulated, simple fact is we were up there and we have the talent, so we need that farking KOPDOKTER 😆

  • 253

I think all the wickets falling at newlands today could easily be interpreted as gunshots into our sporting legacy…

    ..too soon?

  • 254

Our Power was off here in the East Rand for most of today, only came on 15 minutes ago or so.

I see the Proteas in a heap of strife!

    SA 15 / 3, after 6 overs, chasing 512 to win… hehehe

    …. still 496 behind.

  • 255

    @ MacroBull:
I have a feeling the truth about what’s going on might come out soon, I do not believe everything is hunky dory in SA cricket.

  • 256

    252 @ Sharks_forever:
Hi Sharkie a couple of months ago the Aussies were wrapping up a 5-0 whitewash of England, hardly useless. Also SA have gone for 6 years I think I read without losing a test series…

  • 257

    @ Bullscot:
I am talking about just before the Ashes mate, I know the Ashes is where they regrouped and have come back with a bang.

  • 258

Fact is they now believe they are invincible, and that was the case even before they came here.

  • 259

Domingo needs to start working on his CV.

The Australians turnaround can be directly attributed to their coaching staff.

    So can ours.

  • 260

    @ gunther:
Agree boet, Since Domingo took over there has been a steady decline, what has kept us going is the quality players within the setup, but they falling fast and furious now.

One can take a similar situation that happened at the Bulls, Frans took a top team over from Meyer, won and then some of those top players quit or left, suddenly old Frans not looking the coach they thought he was. and yes to be fair he lost a lot of top players like Matfield, Fourie Dup, Bakkies, etc etc

  • 262

Jackers saying the ball of today does not swing like they used to in the old days.

  • 263

OK, still only have 58 Mails to work through, answer, quote… ect…

  • 264

28/3 our cricket is a fucking joke!

  • 265

Dave warner is a good example of ‘you can take the monkey out the tree but you cant take the tree out of the monkey! Bloody bogan!

  • 266

Just popped in to see the score/update. Agree with Gunther re coaches. Aus, who have had a decidedly average side for the last year or two, have managed to turn themselves around inside a few months – Only change – Darren Lehman. On the other hand, SA have gone in the opposite direction. Lehman has proven that it is easy to turn things around

The retirement of two of SA’s greats, hasn’t helped – in fact, I think the Protea’s are going to feel the loss of those two for a good couple of years to come. Kallis bowed out at just the right time. On top of his game and a Legend. Smith, unfortunately probably won’t get the future recognition he deserves, almost as if the captain is abandoning the sinking ship.

The Powers that be have sold SA cricket (and world cricket in general) down the Swanny, and the contracting of players has been a joke.

A couple of injuries – mainly Steyn have hobbled the team.

Add all of these things up, and I am surprised we are doing so well.

Very poor show, and I predict a slow and tortuous slide down the rankings.

  • 267

SA 46 / 3 after 25 overs… batting at a crawl, defending every ball… and playing for the draw… but can they stand for more than a day to go.

    I think not.

  • 268

    @ gunther:
Sad state of affairs mate… Weary

  • 269

    239: Wink

  • 270

    269 @ Ben:
Jy sien ek het toe gegee in 250. Ja wat lyk my daar is baie vrae, vir my was dit ‘n jammerte dat Kirsten nie langer aangebly het nie, hy het die sukses van die span laat aanhou en kyk wat hy voorheen met Indie gemaak het to hy hulle afrigter was. Dink jy Jennings sal eendag weer wil oorvat, wat maak hy deesdae?
