They’re klapping us properly today, and yesterday for that matter
Another wicket falls.
Aus 489 / 6 after 126.5 overs
Another wicket?
Yesssssss
Aus 489 / 7 after 127 overs
The rain has come… Players are off the pitch.
Aus 494 / 7 after 127.4 overs
Sun is shining in Debenville. The cricket should be played here.
I can not see us winning from here so let the next best thing happen. Rain, rain beautiful rain
@ superBul:
Exactly.
Let it pour.
Anyone know what the weather looks like on ground level??
Smith out already… he needs to pull finger soon…
We need to bat and bat…
Biff already out for 7…
Day 3 a good day for batting – just see off the new ball and bat all day and most of tomorrow…
@ grootblousmile:
Ja nee! Becoming a passenger…
Petersen hasn’t been oozing confidence either…
103 @ Gumboots:
He’s been a passanger for some time… it’s just the odd big score keeping him there.
He has a tendency to nick early on in his innings, out to the slips… or cut it onto his stumps.
I say out with him!
Biff a passenger?
The guy averages 48 and has scored hundreds in the last 3 series we’ve played.
No man.
Elgar out too!
Blomme 42 / 2 after 11.4 overs
I’m old school regarding Smith.
I don’t like the idea of just dropping a player of such stature and also one that surely will go down in history as one of the best test captains of all time.
We saw and read the article by UFO on Clarke and most agreed with his assessment, myself included, but Clarke still has a long way to go to reach the standing of Smith.
I know we can compare current form and most players will look better than him at this stage, but I prefer to measure him over the last decade and more.
If he should go, that is, if there is a better player who will perform over such an extended period, as well as a better captain with such a high standing and esteem in world cricket, then yes, but let him go on his terms. It’s a delicate balance, his team mates still look up to him, world cricket still respects him, so I just don’t think a player of such stature deserves to be dropped like some nr 11 batsmen in a school 4th team.
Let him retire with the dignity he deserves and has earned
“…deserves to be dropped like some nr 11 batsmen in a school 4th team.”
Why, is that what they did to you, Nortie?
Elgar out, 48/2
Not looking great. We need a few long partnerships here.
109 @ BrumbiesBoy:P.S. Dang, trigger finger; was supposed to put a and a
@ nortierd:
Buzz are really has his “lean spell” been any longer than clarkes was ?
Or Duminy ?
Or Amlas?
Or Alviros ?
Biff needs a Captains innings in the second innings or we will go down I think.

Peterson looking sharp and stylish. Keep it up son!
Alviro Petersen goes to his 50.
SA 84 / 2 after 17.1 overs
Peterson’s 50 coming up. 52 runs, 50 balls.
Needs to keep going.
Sorry 51 runs, 50 balls.
Alviro Petersen also gone.
SA 95 / 3 after 21.2 overs
Jeez soft dismissals – now Petersen…
