Legendary Australian wing David Campese wasn’t impressed by what the Bulls dished up in their Super Rugby opener against the Cell C Sharks in Durban over the weekend.
“Campo” studied the Super Rugby clash which the Sharks won 31 / 16 to go to the top of the Super Rugby standings.

Writing on his official Facebook page, the 101-Test capped former Wallaby urged the men from Pretoria to stop relying on size and brute force to win games.
“On Saturday night the Bulls who looked like a team with little direction around the field, they must realise by looking big and strong and living on past years glories will not help you win the games now,” said Campese.
“With some very young and exciting players in the backline, the Bulls must start to play as a unit and look to feed to the ball to the likes of (Bjorn) Basson and (Jan) Serfontein.
“And please can you tell me why you would kick the ball away when you are 20 points down?
“You can’t win without the ball, so keep it as long as it takes!”
Campese said the Springbok-laden Sharks will be hard to stop in 2014.
“The Sharks now have about 11 Springbok players in their starting team and they are a team to watch this year.
“And for me finishing top of the log in SA group with a great performance against the Bulls.
“The Sharks started on fire. With them playing as a team, you could see how hungry and determined they played and to show the Bulls the respect by smashing him all over the park (sic).
“Having 10 Bok players is a big advantage in this competition, but you could also see the impact that the Bok players had on the rest of the team.
“Bulls have a lot to work to do this year with attack and holding the ball in the 22!”
The Bulls next tackle the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Friday (19:10), while the Sharks host the Hurricanes on Saturday (17:05).
