Super Rugby is already in Round 2, with the Antipodion teams also taking part this weekend. We have 7 games in Round 2, with 2 games on Friday, 4 games on Saturday and 1 game in the early hours (SA Time) on Sunday morning.
The Melbourne Rebels have a bye weekend, right at the outset, but of course Bye Points fall away in 2014.
In June / July 2014 the Antipion teams will catch up in played games with the South African counterparts, when the South African sides sit out for 1 Round.
The Combined Log will therefore be skewed for the majority of the competition and one has to question why individual countries are allowed to start such a long competition ahead of it’s rivals. In 2013 the Australian sides started a week early, but at least they had the excuse that they needed an extra week in the middle of the year to prepare for the British & Irish Lions series, which they lost.
(The Weekend Teams are also up under the Main Menu, Super Rugby, 2014, Weekend Teams.)

@Cheetah4 and GBS
Bulls will have to get used to being under the Stormers, especially on the log
All team sheets are now complete for the weekend
@ grootblousmile:Pleasure
What do the Highlanders mean by co captain?
Do they have two captains instead of having a cap and a vice cap?
First time I’ve seen that
@ Cheetah4eva: Eish don’t ant to be pedantic, but the Stormers short a wing (14)
@ grootblousmile: Stormers short a wing GBS (14)
96 @ Cheetah4eva:
Hey, we all know the Stormers short a wing… but that’s not all they short…
They short a good coach, a good backline coach, another wing, good scrumhalves, locks and a hooker who can throw into the lineout too!
grootblousmile wrote:

Daar sê jy my in my moer in doodstil!

@ grootblousmile:
@ leon:
Of doen julle die under-dog ding?
@ nortierd:
Dit bekommer my!
Tomorrow morning we have Super Rugby from New Zealand… hope you have cleared your morning!
Tomorrow evening we havethe Cheetahs and Bulls game… and a good Six Nations game!
Saturday is a bumper rugby day!
Good to be back in season as far as rugby is concerned!
@Leon
You guys are too quiet… cat got your tongue?
…or did the dog bite your tying fingers?
@ grootblousmile:
A: Gebrek aan wedstryd fiksheid.
Ahem
Bulls in real kak.
Hougaard to 15.
Spies to orange duty.
Fouche to France.
Ross to Italy.
112@Gunther
Hougie at 15?
Nee man, a 15 is also expected to kick
110 @ leon:
Ek hoop jy is reg!
111 & 112 @ gunther:
Hello, welcome here.
I do not think Hougaard will be suited at fullback… but I recon he better go regain form from the bench or from the wing.
Fouché & Ross… well yes, they can farm them out as far as I’m concerned.
Fouché can only kick to posts & touch… tactically he kicks too much and not accurately. As a distributor and game reader and controller, he is not up to scratch.
Boots & All & All is on….
Let’s hear what they say.
I’ve already done my Bru picks… farking difficult ones this week!!
112 @ gunther:
Gunther welcome here. Great to see you on RT.
@ gunther:
Flippin blogging addict.Cant stay away.
Hoagie has a great kick tackles like a demon steps off both feet and is unmatched in broken play.
At the risk of sounding like heavens game he is a biltong flavoured Keegan Cullen.
He would be a revelation at 150.
@ grootblousmile:
Howzit!
He’d be great on the wing to I just think our options at 15 are leaner than the Stormers chances of making the playoffs .
@ Tuff Gong:
I have an addictive personality.
