EnglandEngland head coach Stuart Lancaster has on Tuesday announced an unchanged 23-man squad for his side’s second Six Nations fixture against Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Lancaster has kept faith with the same players who were narrowly beaten 26 / 24 by France in their opening match in Paris last weekend.

“We were disappointed by the result against France, but very proud of many aspects of the performance and we want to give the same 23 the opportunity to build on that against Scotland,” Lancaster said.

Lancaster will reveal his starting XV for the Calcutta Cup clash on Thursday, when it is expected that he will name the same team that started the match against the French.

Gloucester wing Jonny May and Northampton lock Courtney Lawes have both been declared fit to play despite sustaining injuries at the Stade de France.

May fractured his nose and Lawes sustained bruising to his cheek, but both men are in contention to start against Scotland.
