180 @ GoBokkeAndIreland:
Hello there you must be pretty pleased with your Ireland in 6 nations so far, do you rate their chances against England away from home this weekend?
@ Bullscot:
Hey BS! Yes indeed – played well so far! I do – I think it’ll be a tough game. On Bru I’ll take Ireland by between 3 and 8 points.
What are your thoughts?
@ GoBokkeAndIreland:
If that is the case watch him being employed by the force or some no name brand team and make champions of them maybe then SARU will wake up.
Cheers everyone time for me to hit the gym..
182 @ GoBokkeAndIreland:
They certainly have stepped up a gear under Joe Schmidt and it seems Plumtree is also making his mark in the coaching front with them. Not sure yet about which way its going to go, Ireland are on a roll and unbeaten but then England had a good win last game and they are playing at home, will need to study the team sheets and conditions before make up my mind. Have posted the Ireland team article now.
@ Bullscot:
Yeah, saw that. I’ll check tomorrow morning and go make my picks. Either way – going to be a cracker of a game to watch.
185 @ GoBokkeAndIreland:
Ahh ok thought from your earlier post you had already made you Bru picks which seemed a bit early. Hopefully it will be a good game, I see George Ford is on the bench for England, a very good young flyhalf who in time could overtake Farrell as their number 1 choice at flyhalf.
SA 158/3, about 30 overs left in days play, Elgar on 70 and AB de Villiers 17 at the crease.
Elgar perishes on 83
SA 181 / 4 after 69.3 overs
Dis darem TE maklik om geld uit te gee, nie waar nie…
Ai Quintin, it was bound to happen, so voorspelbaar.
Ag jussie…there goes Quinton de Kock also.
Skied one!
SA 200 / 5 after 76.5 overs
The Blomme now need AB & Duminy to byt vas!
Bad light stopped play early on Day 1.
SA 214 / 5 after 83 overs.
Well think that is our chances all but gone now to square this series. Some very soft dismissals.
192 @ grootblousmile:
AB will but will Duminy? He has not been great so far. Pity about how easy De Kock went. That was plain daft his shot. Also Elgar was going so brilliant and hits a daft shot as well. Pity about Elgar going as he was in and might still have been in if not for that.
AB needs a big hundred today and JP needs to stay calm and collected
Will JP play 2 or 3 excellent shots and get himself with a plonker?
(hope not)
Now it’s over to the cricket.. Love the sport this weekend.
Only way to win this test is to bat once, hopefully get 600.
SA 240 / 5 after 92 overs
@ MacroBull:
To get 600, both JP and AB need big scores.
South Africa RR 2.60
Last 10 ovs 32/0 RR 3.20
Too slow, at this rate we are wasting time, and in PE you need time
Run rate really needs to improve doesn’t help getting 600 on the board if it takes you 4 days to accomplish it.
@ Scrumsaam:
And time to slow down so I can catch up on Sbru
Super I hear you re the pace of the match but we were in deep crap, also if we can get to around 400 or 450 we can win this match and PE pitch will spin more and more etc
@ Sharks_forever:
Just seen what’s going on, best start for me ever on the bru..
@ Scrumsaam:
I agree we need to pickk up the rate, maybe get to about 400 to 450 (if we can) and pick up the rate.
but scoreboard pressure should be a helpful ally here. Then again, aus only wants a draw.
@ Sharks_forever:
but our only spinner is Duminy.
Last 10 ovs 18/0 RR 1.80
Do you think Duminy can spin?
No way can we keep going this slow and expect a result
We firstly need to maintain wickets, before speeding up any batting run-rate.
Once we are well over 350, then we can accellerate the run-raye and build a score.
If we are still 5 or 6 wickets down at 350, then it is on to build a big one.
