Or if they don’t want 2 in-experience guys to open let Amla open for a while, Biff gets out so quickly that Amla feels like an opener anyway.
@ Scrumsaam:

Bwahahaha. Was he ever in?
Had high hopes for Elgar when he was scoring lots of runs as a youngster but he has just not gone on to fulfil his potential at the highest level yet, hopefully he will score big today and go on to get an extended run in the test team.
@ Pietman:
Dagse Piet my maat van yster en plaat……. lol
Blomme 55 / 2 after 22 overs
@ Sharks_forever:
When the likes of smith and abdv came in the team our batsmen were generally averaging in the low 40s.
Currently we are no.1 in the world. there is no comparrison between now and then.
Howzit everyone.
Hope we don’t fall apart in this test as well. Come on Proteas.
@ Scrumdown:
Keep going Scrum whilst ur on a roll
Hashim Amla has averaged 15 over his last 7 seven innings (including today’s one)far from what you would expect from him, last big test score was eight innings ago the 118 he got in the first innings against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi mid October.
Watching the Protea’s play is like watching the Bulls flyhalves practicing their passing.
@ MacroBull:
Remember you are only as good as your last game, Smith has been lacking form for some time now.
Re Morkel and Duminy? I agree, Both need a rest, for me changes are needed it is just a matter of how many and when to make them.
@ Sharks_forever:
Hello jou sardynjagter, lekker om jou weer hier te sien! @ Puma:
Boys were talking about you behind your back the other night, check the Tukkies varsity game thread, and moer them my bru !
43 @ Bullscot:
Yip wonder what has happened to Amla he was always superb. Once he was in he stayed for over a 100 now days he is gone after 20 or so. We need a firing Amla, if we get him to where he was against England and Oz the last time round we would be in a good position. Smith unfortunately might have to go he has not performed for a long time.
@ Sharks_forever:
ON current form only AB, Verne and Steyn should not be dropped then.
@ Pietman:
Pooms knows PIet, I had to hold him back or those boys were in Shit
44 @ Loosehead:
@ Sharks_forever:

Don’t get me wrong, I know the double hundred is factored in there. but guys like Duminy was in the first two tests 6 years ago and has been useless ever since, Morkel has never risen to his expectations either especially not since the NZ tour where we all thought…here comes the mean machine, I would rather give Abott a go.
