Wonderful win Proteas, fantastic turnaround from last week

  • 484

    Heeehaaaa!

  • 485

I see McCloud is leaving the Sharks to Grenoble in France

  • 486

Sharks scrumhalf Charl McLeod has signed a two-year deal with Grenoble.

The 30-year-old, capped once by the Springboks, could be joined by Stormers back Gio Aplon.

‘We are simply awaiting him [Aplon] to send back a signed letter confirming his departure [from the Stormers],’ the club said.

Best crowd in the cricket world is at PE. Damn wish we could have our rugby crowd sing and dance like that through out a game. What a atmosphere in PE.

  • 488

Folks, I am going to make Jinx’s brother take over our late friend’s original Nickname… he will go from Sphynx to Jinx shortly!

  • 489

Proud of our cricket team for coming back so well in this test after getting a thrashing in the first. Now hope we win in Cape Town and win the series. Oz must know now we not easy beats. Really can’t wait now for the teats in Cape Town.

  • 490

    488 @ grootblousmile:
That’s brilliant good way to honour our good friend Jinx that blogged here.

  • 491

    @ grootblousmile:
    Yes man!
Bring back Michael and his Ibanez 12 string, long live Jinx and his uncle Alan at Logan Sports in Darling Street, Cape Town, long live Jinxie, long live old Mountain Heart looking down on us!
And here is looking n up at you my bru…

  • 492

It’s done… now we just wait for jinx to login….

  • 493

Great weekend of rugby and cricket – except for that blip from that pathetic excuse for a team from CapeTown. Looking forward to next weekend, see you all then

  • 494

It’s actually quite emotional for me to have Jinx back… in the form of his brother…

  • 495

    494 @ grootblousmile:
    It is for sure.

  • 496

Okay out of here now catch up tomorrow.

    Cheers everyone.

  • 497

    Hello, great win Proteas.
    Now lets see your metal.
We cant always get away with this slow starts.

They were here in Hoedspruit a few days before the 1st test. Rhino awareness with Mark Boucher, maybe not the right time before a test

  • 498

    @ superBul:

Yeah, great win by the guys. It showed the typical fighting spirit of the Proteas. Now they just have to carry it through to Newlands – where they enjoy playing.

Now it’s good for the Aussies – they now realise that they are no longer the playground bullies after demolishing England. And then us at Centurion. Morne Morkel pinging Mitchell Johnson on the pip a couple of times in one over is a case in point. Had to love that. Made my Saturday.

  • 499

    @ grootblousmile:

Good move – I like that – he will appreciate that and mean a lot to him.

The ranks of Stormers supporters on RT is growing by the day. I like that too.

    499 @ IAAS:
We have big hearts here on Rugby-Talk… and rightly so.

I’ve kept in contact with the new Jinx since our dear friend, the Poet, left this earth.

The original Jinx was an exceptional man and friend.

Nobody can replace the original Jinx, but the legacy can certainly live on!

  • 501

    @ grootblousmile:
Dis you ask him if he is happy with it?
I remember how he paid tribute to his brother. Massive respect. Any indication in his Nick to say he is not the real man?
    Just a question though.

  • 502

I have updated the Six Nations & Super Rugby Logs and Results (under the Main Menu) and I hve also updated our Leaderboards in the Rugby-Talk Superbru Pools (under the main Menu).

  • 503

    @ grootblousmile:

Too true. And I paid my tributes on RT at that time to Jinx. It was a special moment when Jinx2 appeared to carry on with the legacy.
And it was UFO who broke the news of Jinx’s passing on keo – hope UFO makes an appearance soon. But, maybe not after a Stormers loss – but he will be here in due course – I have no doubt about that.

  • 504

    @ grootblousmile:

Sorry – no interest in superbru this week.

  • 505

    @ superBul:

Howzit – he used the nic Jinx2 on keo after his brother’s death – so to be called Jinx, I think, will mean the world to him.

  • 506

    @ IAAS:
    Ditto.
    Respect intended.

  • 507

    501 @ superBul:
I mailed him and asked him if he would not rather want to take his brother’s nickname and he was very pleased about it… we’ve been mailing to and fro since.

So, there is no problem there.

    503 @ IAAS:
I remember it well and UFO has been registered on R-T for years.

UFO is already back too and I hope we see him here lots in future.

  • 508

What a reply by South Africa. Gee Steyn is good! Where Johnson is fearful with his brute pace Steyn is just a fearful with his reverse swing at pace.

    Well done RSA great comeback.
