@ grootblousmile:
Got no issues here.
@ Puma:
You always bat first unless it is a green mamba and overcast. Centurion is generally a batting friendly wicket where you put runs on the board and put pressure on the opposition. That is was Oz did. Now they are piling up the runs and we are gonna have to bat out of our socks to save the match. Only halfway through the game. It might be finished for rugby kick-off tomorrow…
@ grootblousmile:
I’m having no problems mate…
182 @ Gumboots:
Smith made a huge error to bowl first at Centurion.
183 @ Gumboots:
You see how I run things here Gummyberry Juice!
I look after everybody’s interests… and do what’s best for our site.
Thanks for the feedback.
181 @ MacroBull:
Thanks… good to hear.
Morkel bowl kaaaaak.
Need to give Kyle Abott a shot.
179 @ grootblousmile:
No problems at all it is going well my side.
We have been waiting for years for morkel to come right.
@ Puma:
The pitch had a green tinge to it on the first day, but didn’t warrant bowling first. He didn’t have enough faith in his batters and had too much HOPE that his bowlers could just maybe bowl the Ozzies out for around 200…
189 @ Gumboots:
I saw the green tinge on the first day but it was so little, I would still have batted first. He probably like you said was worried we would lose wickets soon if we batted first, I think differently we should have. Though we did lose wickets fast when we did come to bat so who knows we may have lost wickets even quicker with the green tinge.
Feel disappointed with our showing here really expected a lot better from our test side that has done so well. We do miss Kallis I feel.
@ grootblousmile:
Indeed and we are grateful. I’m expecting some movement tomorrow when the rugger begins. I have been in contact with many of the other guys and I expect them to appear tomorrow. I have also asked my mates in Canada to join… Thanks for the offer of assistance but just got the email this morning that the Canadian educations system kicked out the tour to SA because of our international rating of “HIGH RISK” country. It is not all lost though. They might be sending a club side. I have contacts if any school or club wants to travel to Vancouver. I have built up great partnerships and I would have loved to have toured. The one club has their own beer with the club’s name. I’m going to Vancouver in November again…
@ Gumboots:
I don’t think its fair to blame the pitch at all.
The pre test mind games played on Smiths ego, and he felt like he needed to prove that our bowling is better and we did not bat like we should have.
This whole test is the cricket equivalent of the 4 move check mate.
We have been dog poo, our bowling/fielding today has been shocking, the bowling lacks direction, and our fielding is poor, completely rattled.
@ Puma:
Yeah I know they are also feeling bad… Some great guys there… That is sport.
187 @ Puma:
Good, if Old Knobbly knees has no issues with load speeds with his Old Parraffine PC’s, then I know it’s working at warp speed!
191 @ Gumboots:
Good to hear you’ve invited friends…
About the Canada thing, pity that they consider SA a high risk area… well let’s see what happens.
@ MacroBull:
No one can blame the pitch… It has been a batting paradise the whole match… The problem in this game is that when you get behind the four ball the game runs away with you. We are down and to lift the team up after this is going to be a mission. The senior players and captains of the other formats have to set the example… Smith hasn’t been too good of late and Petersen has been poor all season… Time for a player like Van Zyl or even David Miller, but many would then say that I’m biased…
@ grootblousmile:
Forwarding their email now… I was sooo disappointed and made it clear in my response… I think they are now going to tour in the UK… What a k a a a a k experience – when they could have had our hospitality…
@ Gumboots:
I thought it was quite interesting when we were on the backfoot at the end of the first day, AB was doing all the talking and setting the fields, Smith was just standing behind him chewing his nails, I find this unnerving.
I have received the FULL MEDIA GUIDE FOR SUPER RUGBY 2014… will rework it a bit so we can have it as a Page under the main Menus, under Super Rugby, 2014… in it is a host of stats on EVERY Super Rugby side, players, couches… the whole bang shoot.
It’s in the form of a PDF Book, which I urge you to download, once it is up on the site, for easy reference if you need to look something up.
It’s the same FULL MEDIA GUIDE which every broadcaster will have at their disposal…. but which fans do not have.
Will report as soon as I have it up!

@ grootblousmile:
Hey GBS, last year supersport usually had individual player stats like tackles made, meters gained etc You don’t know any good sites for this, or even how to get to these stats on supersport?
I usually make reference to rugbystats.au (awesome site)
@ grootblousmile:
Cool…
200 @ MacroBull:
Not offhand… I go all over the place for Stats!
Cheers everyone.
Catch up tomorrow.
@ Puma:
Let the real sports begin!!! Cheers
I cannot for the life of me remember when last I have seen such poor bowling…
Abbott needs to play and we need to find openers with guts to graft it out… I have always had my doubts about McLaren…
@ Gumboots:I can, during the recent Ashes series!!!
@ BrumbiesBoy:
Yes you are right… We seem to be falling into the same trap…
@ BrumbiesBoy:P.S.
Duminy gets a wicket off a ball that should have flown to the boundary… Lucky but the Ozzies are in a great position… They have more than enough already…
