Kenya will replace the Pampas XV in this year’s Vodacom Cup competition, a report indicates.

The Argentine side – who played in the South African domestic competition since 2010 – pulled out of the competition late last year, presumably because it became too expensive to take part.
While the SA Rugby Union (SARU) is yet to confirm, Kenya’s rugby boss, Mwangi Muthee, said they will be the 16th team in the competition in 2014.
Muthee told a Kenyan radio station, Capital FM, that they will use the event as preparation to help them try qualify for next year’s Rugby World Cup in England.
“SARU confirmed to us that we will play in the Vodacom Cup this season,” said Muthee.
The Kenyans look set to be added in the South Section of the competition and will be based in Cape Town.
The 16 teams are divided in North and South sections, with the top four in each group heading into the quarter-finals.
Great if it does happen, but wont they be cannon fodder? Why not include Namibia as well?
@ Lion4ever:
Namibia withdrew last season due to financial contraints.
