Chiefs hooker Hika Elliot has been training with his team-mates but a decision on his short and long term playing future will have to be made.
The Super Rugby winning hooker has a serious neck injury which could force him into retiring from playing rugby altogether.

Chiefs assistant coach Tom Coventry says that the decision is a long term process and Ellit has some big decisions to make.
“Hika’s seeing our medical staff and he’ll see his surgeon in a couple of weeks’ time,” Coventry told NewstalkZB.
“So we’ll get a heads up about where he’s at in the next couple of weeks, and then make an accurate decision.”
Coventry added that the decision on Robbie Fruean’s return from heart surgery remains with his surgeon.
The coach said that Fruean is not taking part in contact training yet but that his fitness and conditioning is good.
