Rumours are doing the rounds that former Springbok assistant coach Gary Gold could be the next head coach of the Eastern Province Kings.
Gold was released from his Director of Rugby position at English club Bath in December, and the Kings have shown interest in his services for a while now.

With Matt Sexton last month opting to head back to New Zealand, the Kings are looking to fill their head coaching position.
The Kings have remained mum on when they will announce their new coach, but recently appointed Michael Horak (defence coach) and Carlos Spencer (backline coach) as assistants on five-year deals.
The Kings will resume training for the 2014 season on Tuesday, with more news regarding a head coach expected soon.
I can see some fun and games happening there. Gold is very defence oriented, and they have Carlos Spencer as back line coach, and he is very attack minded. Look what happened when Gold and Tricky Dicky were PDV’s assistants.
Can only be good for South African rugby to have someone of his coaching experience plying his trade back in the country.

Hello Lion4ever oops that’s an interesting perspective, didn’t think of it from that point of view, hopefully Gary Gold will concentrate on his forwards strength and trust Carlos Spencer to run the backline, they also have Michael Horak joining them as defence coach, so to me it seems like really good individual coaches there – almost a team you would like to have in charge of a Super rugby franchise, as long as they work together properly and have enough good raw material, players, to work with it could be a good thing.
@ Bullscot:
Apparently him and Tricky Dicky had major clashes in their time with the Bokke. But, yes, it looks like a good coaching combo.
Will there be any players besides Luke at the Kings to be coached?
