“Thigh strain for Bryan Habana. This normally takes around three weeks recovery. Wishing him a speedy recovery,” Toulon said on Twitter.
Habana, who was making his debut in the tournament, was replaced in the 37th minute after pulling up with the injury.
The 30-year-old will miss the European Cup return match with Exeter next Saturday as well as the Top 14 meetings with Montpellier and Racing-Metro.
Habana’s fellow Springbok Bakkies Botha was also forced to leave the field with a head injury and had 14 stitches in his forehead as a result.
