Taumololo and Maestri were both sent from the field in the first minute of the second half in their match in Le Havre on Saturday after a brawl broke out between the two tight forwards.
They face charges of breaking Law 10.4 (a) – A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder, head or knee(s).
Kuridrani was shown a red card for his dangerous spear tackle on Irish flank Peter O’Mahony in the 72nd minute of their clash in Dublin.
He faces a charge of breaking Law 10.4 (j) – Lifting a player from the ground and dropping or driving that player into the ground whilst that player’s feet are still off the ground such that the player’s head and/or upper body come into contact with the ground is dangerous play.
The appeal hearing for Samoan centre George Pisi for his tip tackle on irish wing Tommy Bowe will be held on Thursday, also in London.
Would like to see Kuridrani’s tackle on O’Mahony because from the slow motion replay during the time it didn’t look like the ‘normal’ spear tackle but almost like he just toppled him over like an egg timer on the spot possibly from the momentum of him rushing in and going so low in the tackle, my reaction at the time was that I think at the hearing they will decide the red card was enough punishment so he won’t have any match ban.
