86 @ superBul:
Not been following too closely lately superBul which of the in form guys made way for Smith and Kallis? Smith didn’t do well but so far its King Kallis keeping things together and he took 2 wickets earlier. Problem for me is the tail looks quite long so its up to Kallis and Dumminy and Miller to get the bulk of the runs now so if it gets down to it there is not too much for the last 4 to do, I know Philander can bat and should be a top allrounder but think he is still getting there with his batting at international level.
SA 85 / 4 after 20.3 overs
The Kiwi coaching duo of Joe Schmidt and John Plumtree got their team up on the All Blacks at the moment, plus they have the wily Les Kiss on board so a really good coaching set up there, thought it may take a little while for them to get their team to play the way they want and this looked clear against Aus last week BUT what a big step up in performance so far today!
Ierland gaan nie wen nie 🙁
2nd Half ON!
Important that the ABs don’t score first. Come on Ireland!
Ireland have NEVER beaten the All Blacks, can this be lucky 13 for them as its O’Driscoll’s 13th test for Ireland against New Zealand. No international team (as far as know) in the professional era have gone through their season unbeaten so whatever happens in the second half it will be a huge result for the winners.
What a shame, there will no longer be a Hore on the field in the future.
SA 95/4 after 23 overs going to need to somehow keep wickets in hand but also increase the scoring tempo a little now, seem to be struggling against the spinners but it’s understandable they needed to consolidate for a bit.
Ireland scrum, their forwards are playing so well on defence
Skew into the scrum by Ireland, Free Kick All Blacks…
Good over for SA – 11 off it- 106/4 after 24 overs
All Blacks penalty, not rolling away
Good defense by the Irish to prevent the ABs from scoring there but now ABs are back in their quarter.
All Blacks turnover scrum, deep in Ireland territory
All Blacks over the line… looks held up
All Blacks own arm is under the ball, cannot see how they can award the try…
Ruled no try
ABs hard on attack…
Ireland steal the ball…. but All Blacks get a penalty
Good TMO decision looked to me like the ball was grounded but that was before the try line and then when over the tryline All Black arm was between the ball and ground, just shows when used well technology works.
Bliksem die Iere speel
Ireland 22 / 10 All Blacks
And Ireland withstand the All Black storm though concede a dubious penalty. ABs not looking as sharp as we are used to seeing.
Oh dear Kallis out for 50. SA 116/5 after 26 overs, still need 103 runs
Brian O’Driscoll off injured
116 @ grootblousmile:
That’s a shame GBS as this was possibly his last test against the All Blacks, if he does decide to retire at end of season.
Another All Blacks penalty, 45m out
