Western Province skipper Deon Fourie has been passed fit and will lead an unchanged side in the Currie Cup Final at Newlands on Saturday.
Fourie has been battling with a neck injury this week and did not train on Wednesday, but was named to lead the defending champions against the Sharks this weekend.

Coach Allister Coetzee has named an unchanged team from the one that saw them to a home semifinal victory over the Golden Lions last week as they look to retain their title on home soil.
National skipper Jean De Villiers will start in the No.13 jersey in what will also be his 50th match for Western Province. Juan de Jongh has been named on the bench, as he was the win over the Lions.
“Being at Newlands is fantastic and great, but there are no guarantees,” said Coetzee.
“We have to be even better than last Saturday (in the semifinal) against the Lions. We have to start better and we have to stay in it for 80 minutes. We don’t want to be in a situation in a Final where you take so long to work yourself back and get your dominance back.”

WP will win this one…
… or maybe I should rather say, WP should win this game…
Looks like the Ama-Blomme got Pakistan out very cheap on Day 1 of the 2nd 5-Day Test.
Pakistan were all out for 99 after only 36.4 overs.
At present SA is 91 / 2 after 33 overs, with the wicket of Dean Elgar having just fallen. Jacques Kallis steps up to the wicket as the next batsman.
Hopefully SA can bat for the rest of the Day, the WHOLE of tomorrow and maybe even deep into Day 3, build up a massive lead and Pakistan will be in severe strife to try and save the Test.
Imran Tahir picked up 5 wickets for 32 in 13 overs for the Ama-Blomme…. amazing bowling figures!
Dale Steyn picked up 3 wickets for 38 in 13.4 overs… also bloody good.
Only 5 of the Pakistani’s go double figures, with only 2 batsmen getting into the 20’s (Shan Masood [21] & Zulfiqar Babar [25]).
So far 3 of the 4 SA batsmen have gotten over 20 runs and of course the 4th one has just come in (Kallis) and is still batting.
Graham Smith is on 54 not out.
SA score now 106 / 2, already 7 runs ahead.

Hello Gbs, looks like it was a good day for the Proteas in Dubai ending the day on 128/3 as Kallis went out cheaply only getting 7, and 8 wickets fell to the spin bowlers… on Day 1 of a test match, at least SA have a 29 run lead going into Day 2.
BIG Milestone for Graeme Smith as he overtook Matthew Hayden to become the second highest run scorer as opener in test matches according to cricinfo – just a bit under 1000 runs to catch up to the number 1 Sunnil Gavaskar (who got 9607 runs). Smith resumes on day 2 on 67, hope he gets loads more runs. Also well done to Imran Tahir on his 5 wickets.
Hello, i am back from the bush. Finished the gardens i did in the last 6 days.
Customers are happy and i am satisfied.
Watching some nice Cricket at the moment. biff made his 27th Test ton. He is becoming a legend in the game and the best Captain SA ever had.
Someone had this to say on Cricinfo-
Simon: “Biff you leg end! For my money he’s fast overtaking Tugga as the most inspirational, hard nosed skipper ever to lead a side onto the field. More Test wins than any captain in history and the man all sides fear and respect in equal measure. Long may it continue, whadda player!”

Hello BlommieBul,
Hoop jy rus bietjie daai rug van jou!
Ama-Blomme now on 228 / 4, after the new ball was recently taken by Pakistan to bowl with.
SA 129 ahead already and they seem to be doing what I was hoping for, that being batting through Day 2 (it is already past the Lunch interval) and they’re only 4 wickets down.
SA racing along nicely now, AB de Villiers is seeing the ball nicely!
SA 264 / 4, AB de Villiers on 65 and Biff on 128

End of over 101 (5 runs) South Africa 337/4
AB de Villiers 100* (155b 13×4 1×6)
GC Smith 165* (276b 11×4)
South Africa lead by 238 runs with 6 wickets remaining in the 1st innings
10 @ superBul:
Biff marching on to his double ton – Yes, Supers, agree 100% on Biff, fast becoming a legend of the game.
@ superBul:
:New-Arrival–Baby-Boy:
@ Just For Kicks:
Lots of detractors, but I guess the average can’t lie.
AB bolloking along now. 135 runs of 209 balls.
And the 400 is up with a sweep from AB.
14 @ Pietman:
Hahahaha

@ grootblousmile:
Hi there Webmoster.
@ Pietman:
Hi daar Pietman. Jy nou in SA of die woestyn?
@ grootblousmile:
@20 Lekker!!! What a turn-around by the AmaBlomme!!!
19 @ Pietman:
If Smith gets his 200 he’ll go to 9000 runs as well.
21 @ Scrumdown:
Jeeez, I’m a bit MOEG today, worked till 03:20 this morning on a web site design for Handbriekie & Co… it is now there where they must just do the fine-tuning and add some Photo Sliders and content, before taking it off Maintenance Mode.
Want to work hard tody… but just cannot get myself to get there… hehehe
@ Scrumdown:
Woestyn broer, faaaark!
Maar ek gaan eersdaags weer terug huistoe darem, my 3 maande skof amper klaar.
18 @ grootblousmile: Good afternoon, GBS, hope the world finds you in top form, and enjoying the cricket!
@ grootblousmile:
Baie ou Buicks hier…alle soorte. Stokoud, maar hulle loop nog.
Biff on 199….
27 @ Just For Kicks:
