The Steval Pumas hammered the Eastern Province Kings on Friday night in the Currie Cup First Division final.

The match started like any normal final with some penalties being traded between the two sides. The first try came in the 17th minute.
The Pumas did not stop there. They went on to score a further 5 tries to end up with 6 tries in total, compared to only 3 by the EP Kings.
The Pumas also showed a lot of character, having had to play almost the whole of the last 10 minutes with only 13 players on the field.

The Pumas now find themselves in a Promotion /Relegation series against GWK Griquas, who finished last in the Currie Cup Premier Division.
The first match will be played at GWK Park in Kimberley on 18 October 2013, kick-off is at 19:10. The second match will take place at Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit on 25 October 2013.
Surely the Pumas could see themselves going for glory here. The Pumas have had an outstanding season in the First Division whilst the Griquas have had their poorest season in the last 5 years.
This was a really good game of Rugby to watch.
Enjoyed it immensely.
Jimmy Stonehouse is a bloody good coach.
