Former Springbok centre Gcobani Bobo has been appointed as backline coach of the University of Johannesburg (UJ).

Bobo will assist newly appointed head coach Werner Jansen van Rensburg during the 2014 season as they try and make UJ a force in the Varsity Cup competition.
Bobo, 34, played six Tests for the Springboks between 2003 and 2008.
During his playing career, Bobo represented the the Lions (Cats in Super Rugby), Sharks, Western Province (Stormers) and the Newcastle Falcons (England).
The former centre has recently been a regular member of the SuperSport commentary team which shouldn’t interfere with his coaching duties during Varsity Cup which is played on Mondays.
