All Blacks captain Richie McCaw and winger Cory Jane have both been sidelined due to injury from the third and final Bledisloe Cup clash against the Wallabies in Dunedin (Otago Regional Stadium) on Saturday, both having picked up late injuries at training, the All Blacks said.
McCaw is suffering from a calf strain and Jane (who has just been drafted back into the All Black squad after a long term knee injury) suffered a hamstring strain, it was reported via Twitter.
The resulting changes to the match day 23 sees Sam Cane replacing McCaw at openside flank while Charles Piutau will start on the wing in place of Jane. The captaincy reverts back to Kieran Read.
The Bledisloe Cup for 2013 has already been secured by the All Blacks in the prior 2 Test matches between the two sides in 2013, both of which formed part of The Rugby Championship. They now already hold the trophy for 11 straigt years.
