Springbok Coach Heyneke Meyer has recalled two players into the Springbok group for the final two matches of The Rugby Championship against the Wallabies and the All Blacks.
Pieter-Steph du Toit(Sharks) and Juan de Jongh(WP) are the two players who find themselves in the Springbok group for the final stages of The Rugby Championship.
Sharks lock Pieter-Steph du Toit who was part of the Springbok squad in June and who was released due to injury, an injury that he has now been put well behind him after playing 2 full Curie Cup games for the Sharks. It is most likely that Du Toit will be used as a bench player and as backup for the current locks in the side.
The Springboks will start their preparations for the match against the Wallabies today. This upcoming test match is a match that could be very crucial to their success this year, as a bonus point win against the Wallabies is a must to ensure that the lat Test in the competition at Ellis Park against the All Blacks could still turn into the decider for the champions in this year’s Rugby Championship.
