This would a be a year the Sharks would like to forget as they have been plagued with injuries and it seems that their injury woes are not over yet.
It would seem the newest victim is 34 year old lock Marco Wentzel, who suffered a shoulder dislocation. There has been no time frame linked with his recovery.
The Sharks, coming off a loss against WP over last weekend, will not have it any easier this coming weekend as they are facing a Griquas side in Kimberley.
This injury also comes while another Sharks lock, Anton Bresler, is still out with a shoulder injury.
There is some good news for the Sharks as Pieter-Steph du Toit is ready for selection after an injury which forced his withdrawal from the Springbok squad for the June Test window.
Frans Steyn and Paul Jordaan are also still recovering from knee injuries, with no indication as to when they will be available again.
S’bura Sithole should be ready for selection later in the Curry Cup, he is recovering from a fractured hand injury.
Tough, you guys have had a kuk year for sure!
Good job it’s not a debating competition.
