Argentina head coach Santiago Phelan has confirmed a twenty-six man squad to travel to South Africa and play the Springboks at Soccer City on Saturday 17 August 2013.
The team will play a warm-up match against New South Wales in Salta on Friday before they travel to South Africa.
These Pumas are no laughing matter, with a very competent and experienced and attacking backline, hard as nails looseforwards, battle-hardened locks and a strong front row.
16 Out of the 26-man squad run out for prominent UK and European based Clubs and only a hand full of players apply their trade in Argentina itself.
Argentina will be aiming to improve on their 2012 debut season in The Rugby Championship, which included a draw in Argentina against the Springboks. Their warm-up to this year’s tournament already includes a win against a very potent NSW Barbarians side laden with Super Rugby players, last weekend.
