Chiefs get the penalty and there are only 2 mins to go. Has Jake been pipped at the posts this time?
Less than 2 minutes to go… Chiefs lineout
Jake wins the Chiefs line out and he still has a hope…
Chiefs ground ball on the Brumbies 10m line
Chiefs having the last laugh here. Brumbies not getting the fairytale ending they got last week
Hooter goes, Brumbies have the ball on halfway
Mogg stuffs it up big time!
Jakes’ still pressing but the final whistle blows and the Chiefs have done it! Back to back champions!
Well done Chiefs, great game, and great win. Well done Brumbies too.
Final Score: Chiefs 27 / 22 Brumbies
Whoooopie!
Catch you all later for the cricket and Lions/Kings game
That was a fitting final… good hard rugby!
@ Just For Kicks:
Ciao Kicks
Bulle !
Well done Chiefs. Hard luck Brumbies.
It was a damn fine effort by Brumbies. Just a pity when they went over for that try the camera angle was only on one side, well that is what they showed all the time. If they could have shown from a few more angles who knows it might have been seen as the players were certain of that try. Pity.
Anyhow well done Jake that was a damn fine effort in making a final with no man players you brought through from last year. Brilliant coach that we just let slip through our hands.
The final of Super Rugby is just not played on a level playing field that is for sure. When one team has to travel the world over and the other just waits and home rest. From next year would really like to see after the semi final a week rest for all teams after. So that would give the team to travel a much more fair chance in the final.
Well done Chiefs!
Have to say I don’t think that the Bools would have put up as as good a showing as the bumblies. Congrats to both teams for a worthy final.
Pity Jesse never found touch with that penalty that got with 30sec to go. Anyhow all over now. Was a great game to watch.
168 @ The_Young_Turk:
After watching Bulls in the last 3 games NO they would have been beaten by far more. Brumbies very well coached and gave the Chiefs a damn good game. You have to give it to them, they had to travel the world over to play this final, while the Chiefs were rested.
Time to change that. After the semi the next week should be a rest week. Then we will have a much more fair final for the team that has to travel.
170 @ Puma:
Pure unadulterated speculation and a very, very poor and deliberate attempt to run the Bulls down.
They ended 2nd on the Log, ran the Brumbies close and should have won, bar decisions at the end… anything could have happened in Hamilton.
Chiefs proved again today they have a few chinks in their armour at home too… could have been beaten, not saying they would have been… but it could have gone either way.
Oh… for what could have been…..
171 @ grootblousmile:
I agree with Turky as he felt the same as I did. I am being totally honest and not running the Bulls down. Jeepers get to grips boet. Bulls last 3 games they struggled. So I doubt very much they would have beaten the Chiefs or played as well against the Chiefs as the Brumbies did. They were not there so we will never truly know as they lost the semi at home.
172 @ Puma:
YOU get to grips, don’t tell me to get to grips!
You are the one showing clear bias!
You desperately trying to find a parrallel between your Sharks in the final last year and how the Bulls would have gone this year?
Quite frankly I do not care what you think… because I know the tinted glasses will be on and the comment will be tainted!
173 @ grootblousmile:
Look gbs, I have no clue why you so angry. Is it because your Bulls lost last week and was not in the final? Don’t take it out on me. All I am doing is giving my honest opinion that they would not have played as well as the Brumbies. How come you answer my post and not Turky who said the same.
What bias? Have no clue what the hell you on about. What the heck has Sharks got to do with this final they were no where this year. If Bulls had J. Kruger, A. Botha and Spies YES then they would have had a big chance of beating the Brumbies and Chiefs. They never and never looked great in the first half last week. Their defence was shocking. In the 2nd half they took off players that should have stayed on and SHOULD have taken the kick at goal on the 68th min. They lost it or gave it away have no idea. However, Brumbies played damn well today and could have won it. It was a great final and I just doubt Bulls would have played as well as Brumbies did today without their full strength team.
Only now I am out here. I too don’t care what you think either. If we can’t have a honest opinion here about the Bulls without you attacking us then it is not worth it boet. I feel I have not said or done anything wrong. Go look Turky said the same as I did, but you only wish to say something to me. Okay I am done, I am out of here. Cheers.
174 @ Puma:
Should read = Okay now I am not of here.
175 @ Puma:
Crikey blame it on gbs, sometimes you make my head go mal… 🙂
Last paragraph should read = Okay now I am out of here.
176 @ Puma:
You do it to yourself, I’m not a child you can scold and told to get to grips!
If you can’t take an opposing view, then yes, cheers…
Bulls lose by 3 points, because of a score in the 78th minute (in a game they should have won and controlled in the last 20 minutes)… and suddenly they are so much worse than the Brumbies and would have fared that much worse in the final?
You are speculating, guessing… and passing that off as honest opinion! It might be honest, it still remains wild speculation, and certainly is no opinion to be taken seriously.
No wonder I make you mal, because I challenge you when you talk kak!
