239 @ Pietman:
Piet,
If they flew from Arg it would only have been a 15 hour flight going west. Now they have already flown a 11 hour flight coming east from Arg to SA. A few flew home from Joburg to Durbs, Cape Town and Bloem. Then they all flew back to Joburg on Thursday to train. Then tonight another 14 hour flight to Sydney flying east again. Then another hour and a half to Brisbane. Going east is always more difficult the jetlag. They made it hard for themselves with the extra flying should have only had to do the 15 hour flight from Arg and been there on Monday. They would have been rested and well over the jetlag. I think in future that is the way they will fly.
Our boys are going to be far too tired to compete proper over there. Reminds me now of all the flying the Sharks had to do last year. Eish it makes one so tired and still they have to train and play two games. ABs the following week think we will really feel the tiredness.
Our overseas Boks will be even more tired their flight takes over 20 hours. Madness.
Faark, ek is op bladsy 2 van die Superbru log!
247 @ Pietman:
hahahahahaha. Piet that was me during the SR on our bru pool…. LOL.
@ Puma:
Playing on 4 continents in 4 weeks, crazy!
249 @ Pietman:
Absolutely Piet. The mind boggles. The travel will get us down as it normally does.
@ Puma:
Didn’t even know there were 2 pages!
What do you all think of Engelbrecht? Hell he is strong player. As strong as Alberts when carrying the ball. Then we had Deysel that is also a strong carrier and he done most of Sharks fetching at the breakdowns tonight. Deysel adds both a good ball carrier and he is very good on the deck. I would have Deysel for the Boks instead of Alberts. Would have Alberts on the bench. They like for like players only like I said Deysel far better at the breakdowns.
Then we have Engelbrecht he could be a Bok as well. Terrific strength, very powerful carrying the ball. Bulls should find a place for him to start. Probably is better than Du Plessis.
251 @ Pietman:
Piet, I never knew there were two pages either during SR. Only when I could not find my name I had to look. I thought I was deleted from our pool…………….

Good evening everybody.

Goodnight everybody
Hi Puma.Tera ok but jaques Botha more than OK
260 @ grumpy:
Hello Grumpy, have not seen you on this site. So welcome. You will enjoy this site especially during match days.
Yes, Tera is a terrific talent, unfortunately he was out injured this week. I would like once he is over his injury at some point this season to get a start. As we never know when we will need him. As injuries do happen. Saying that, Botes has been great and both he and Deysel were immense at the breakdowns yesterday. Also our young flyhalf was outstanding and out played the fancy Pollard by some distance.
Also McLeod was sublime last night. The whole game changed once he came on. His slick quick service allowed us to play a whole lot better. He has to start next week.
Also impressed with our new fb we bought from the kings. SP Marais is playing very well at the back and another player that has taken his chance is H. Williamse. Not sure if Tim will just slot back in that 12 jersey just yet.
Only player I am worried about is Chadwick. Wish we had another quality loosehead like Beast.
260 @ grumpy:
I thought Zielinga for his pint size was terrific. His territorial kicking was outstanding pin point accurate all night. Also for his size he gets massive distance with those kicks also his distribution was slick as well as his goal kicking. Was impressed with the youngster and he will get better.
Think our Sharks will be well covered for next years Super Rugby at flyhalf with Lambie and Zielinga.
Really pleased that we bought SP Marais as Ludik will be leaving after the CC season. Marais is showing some real class at the back.
When you look at Pollard, Zeilinga and Gooseneck SA is currently blessed with young fly halves.
@ Loosehead – I agree, but also don’t forget the other there is also still Dimitri, Lambie & Coleman. I think Coleman still needs another 2 seasons to mature properly. But I think Dimitri is also quite close to a Springbok jersey in my opinion. But again I have to agree that all in all I think SA is blessed with flyhalves at this stage. Just to think to two years ago, we only had Steyn we could really rely on. Now as a Bok coach you have Steyn, Lambie, Goosen, Dimitri, Coleman, Pollard & Zeilinga.
