    2 @ Loosehead:
Good to see your confidence Loosehead, am a bit nervous about the game against the Sharks, we should edge in the backs but going to be tough up front they seem to be getting better there with big players back from injury, although who knows how all the stuff that’s gone on at Kings Park hopefully along with the Loftus factor it will help us to a win. Sharks front row could be stronger, lock we must be better so crucial will be the loose forward match up, wiil the Sharks with their big ball carriers Deysel and Alberts be too strong for us or will Stegmann once again prove his worth as a quality fetcher and help swing things our way?

  • 4

    3 @ Bullscot:
    Morning.
I doubt that Deysel will start. Pity as he is a great player. I expect Alberts and then the shit that is / are Daniels and Coetzee.

  • 5

Late change to the Southern Kings side, as Kevin Buys is out with an injury, replaced by Grant Kemp, with Charl du Plessis getting space on the bench.

  • 6

Dyral Impey gets the yellow jersye in the Tour de France. Wow, this is great. First South African ever to lead the Tour. Well done.

  • 7

    6 @ leon:
Yeaaaaaars ago there was an Impey who cycled for SA (somehow the name Tony Impey sticks in my mind)… must be his son, I suppose.

  • 8

    @ grootblousmile:
Don’t know about that Impey, it’s long before my time :). But this is really a great result for Dyral. Damn I’m happy for him.

  • 9

This morning on 702 John Robbie had a chat with Darryl, super chap
He is regarded the all rounder (strong in climbing and sprints but not the best of either in his team) in the team but his main task is to support their number one rider
He said if the yellow comes his way it would be great but still they follow team plans

  • 10

    8 @ leon:
I googled Daryl Impey… he is indeed the son of Tony Impey… looks like this head is still functioning A-OK!

    Hahahaha

  • 11

I’ve been out of the office most days this week, was busy with a lekker network… finished today.

Picked up more business at the same venue for Sunday and Monday… most of the work will have to be done on Sunday so as to assure the full system is up and running when the folks get to work on Monday, Monday is just for fine tuning. I hate working on a Sunday, but this time it is unavoidable.

So, I have not spent as much time as I wanted here on R-T this week… at least kept the content up to date, but had very little time to take part in the conversations. At least I kept the tills rolling nicely.

Hopefully I make up for it tonight and tomorrow.

Really looking forward to the Crusaders / Chiefs match in the morning!

  • 12

    @ grootblousmile:
Haha. Not like mine. I struggle to remember what I had for lunch. Like mclook said, alzheimers light.

  • 13

    @ Gena_ZA:
I think the team gave this one to Daryl.

  • 14

    12 @ leon:
    Lunch?

Wow, now my stomack knows I’ve neglected it…. wat kan ek NOU eet… sal maar met ‘n Blik Caramel MOET begin… hahaha

  • 15

    13 @ leon:
Ek is nie ‘n “Martelpompie” (fietsry) entoesias nie… genoeg gedoen toe ek jonk was

  • 16

    @ grootblousmile:
Ek geniet daai pyn.

  • 19

    18 @ leon:
Ander rede hoekom ek nie fietsry of gaan draf of gym nie… ek is moer kompeterend… wil en moet TEEN iemand, daar en dan meeding, hom uitoorlê of hy my uitoorlê.

Kannie net teen toerusting dit doen of draf nie, vir my is dit leeg en dof, ek wil baklei vir elke punt.

Gelukkig is ons almal nie eenders nie, en elke ou het sy voorkeure.

  • 20

Had to pick at least one spanner in the works, so I went for the Blues to beat the Cheetahs
All the games are going to be so tight, it can pretty much go any way
The only upset would be should the Kings win
Should be all home teams, bar the Kings, but my upset pick is for the Bloem game

  • 21

    20 @ nortierd:
Sharks could well put up a win against the Bulls too… strong pack of forwards.

I’m hoping the Bulls backline executes well… they could win it right there… but one has to get enough quality ball to do so and I think the Bulls are vulnerable in the 2 starting props.

Sharks should have the upperhand in the scrums, Bulls should rule the lineouts…

Once again the battle for breakdown ball will be vital.

  • 22

    @ grootblousmile:
    For sure they can
The Chiefs can beat the Saders, Higlanders could win away if they play too their potential, Sharks can beat the Bulls, but the opposite can also happen
    It’s so evenly matched
I went for the Bulls, so I’ll be at Loftus on Saterday hoping they win
I won’t be wearing blue or horns :-). but I’ll be backing them on the day
I’m looking forward to Serfontein and JJ playing together

  • 23

    22 @ nortierd:
    I’ll be at Loftus too…

Of course I’m hoping that the Chiefs lose in the morning against the Saders, so that the Bulls can go top of the Combined Log, IF they win!

  • 24

    @GBS
Forgot to add, I went for them by 6 because that strength you correctly mention, the front row, more to the point, Jannie and Bismark, are prone to giving away at least a couple of stupid penalties per game when they play together
And I’m not talking about scrum penalties, just unnecessary foul play or off sides
Reckon that might just be the difference right there

  • 25

Interesting that the Bulls are fielding 14 starting Springboks… not all recent Springboks of course.

Having for instance looked at the Stormers side, they sport only 5 or 6 Springboks as starters.

Sharks are at 10 or 11 if I’m not mistaken…

  • 26

OK folks, see you in the morning… tjorts

    Goeie nag, slaap sag!

  • 27

Incredible how you can still reach the play offs with a 60% win record in the league stage.
Was it tougher this year or just “deurmekaar”(mixed up)
The mighty Crusader might make it even if they lose both games left, that would mean they lost 7 games
Cheetahs might still make it despite losing 7
The Waratahs, Sharks and Stormers lost 7 already and is still alive
Unbelievably the Blues with 8 defeats is also in with a chance

    Crazy, Mad season

  • 28

The final match of the weekend is going to be a cracker! The Bulls host the
Sharks at the traditional Pretoria stronghold, Loftus Versfeld, and if there
are 2 teams in this competition that enjoy hammering the hell out of each other,
then it’s these 2! Both teams scored vital wins last weekend and both will be
chasing the maximum this weekend, albeit for very different reasons. All we know
is that on Saturday evening, there will be an 80 minute pressure cooker session
    going down!
