The last ticket was sold at 3:30 pm NZ Time on Wednesday after a total of 25,000 tickets were snapped up for the 2013 Super Rugby final match at Waikato Stadium this Saturday.
Chiefs’ fans camped outside the Stadium last night and queued from the early hours of this morning to secure their tickets to watch the Chiefs defend their title.
Finals fever is alive throughout Chiefs country with Chiefs colours on display in all corners of the region.
Chiefs Season Members bought over 12,000 tickets during the priority purchase period before they received the added bonus of Stan Walker providing the pre-match entertainment.
Some fans experienced issues with online purchasing due to a BNZ system failure and it is expected that the BNZ will issue a statement regarding the matter.
Fans who have secured tickets to the final are advised to get to the game early to avoid cues and pick up their tickets prior to the game.
