Big first couple of hours for both sides this morning. Australia gets a few quick wickets and they still have a slim chance if they can hold their batting together. If, England, on the other hand can hold onto their wickets, and just let the score tick over, they should mount a formidable score, and make it impossible for the Aussies to come back from. Going to be very interesting.
In the other match, Sri Lanka are 86/1 after 17 overs
Morkel gets the wicket of Tharanga (bowled) for 43. SL 93/2 after 20 overs
In the other match, England have started very nicely, and taken the score onto 54/3
Root gets his 50, England finding the overcast conditions to their liking at the moment. Things looking good so far for the boys from Mud Island. Eng 91/3
At last, Morkel gets Jaya out. SL 167/3
Lunch at Lords, and England firmly back in the driving seat. Eng 114/3
Bresnan finally goes, but has done a stirling job for England. He was caught by Rogers off Pattinson for 38. Eng 129/4
England busy shutting this game out at a rate of knots now. A lead of 482, and 6 wickets in hand, Root well set one 131 and Bell 55, mean that it is probably just a matter of time till they declare. So far on the tour, Australia have found it very difficult to get a decent total, so this game is really all over bar the shouting.
Eng 254/4
