All Blacks prop Wyatt Crockett will miss the start of the tournament.

Crockett will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks after suffering a medial ligament injury in the Crusaders’ Super Rugby semifinal loss to the Chiefs last Saturday.

All Black coach Steve Hansen said it wasn’t worth bringing Crockett into this week’s All Blacks training camp in Auckland.

“We’ve left him at home. There’s no point bringing him up here,” Hansen said.

“We’ll reassess him over the weekend, and I’m sure that with some good work and some nice rehab he’ll be back as quick as he can be.”

Crockett’s Crusaders teammate Joe Moody has been called into the All Blacks camp as cover.
