The Western Province Rugby Union has plans to offer flyhalf Elton Jantjies and fullback Jaco Taute permanent deals.
Sport24
The Lions duo played for the Stormers for this year’s Super Rugby competition after the Johannesburg-based side was replaced by the Kings.
Taute was loaned to the Capetonians, while a clause in Jantjies’ contract allows him to play for another Super Rugby team if the Lions are not involved in the competition.
Their contracts at the Lions expire on October 31 and Western Province are allowed to make formal offers from July (Monday).
WP and Stormers coach, Allister Coetzee, confirmed that the union will have discussions with both players and is positive that they will make Cape Town their home.
Jantjies has had an up-and-down season for the Stormers, while Taute’s season was cut short when he tore his anterior cruciate (ACL) knee ligaments against the Cheetahs back in April.

Anybody know about the rumours that Joe Pietersen, Gerhard van den Heever and Don Armand will be going overseas?
2 @ grootblousmile:I don’t think that they are rumours.
