@ Just For Kicks:
All of us viewers can see a mile away when a player is out of form, but the coaches persist with this stupid approach of “playing them into form” at high level. Instead of letting them regain form at an easier lower level. I think sportmen are very superstitious and don’t follow logic and reason, but operate more on their feelings.
forgot the smiley
both teams showing why they’re not really in the running
Scrum Sharks 10m out
2m
…but lose the ball, Blues in charge, and boot it up to 10m line. Said it was a poor decision by Bissy
Sharks busy digging their own grave here
Ahh there we have it, believe it or not the rules for the 7s World Cup for points on the table are 3 for a win 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss!
Sharks back on attack, 5m out
Absolute mayhem out there, no one knows where the ball is, or where the line is. Stoic defence by the Blues, but at last TRYYYYYYYYYYYY, Viljoen after swinging it wide
Finally, in the last minute, the Sharks pull this one out of the fire!
congrats sharks.
Lambie again, but yet again, missed. Poor, poor lad. Bully I have to disagree, that, has just made it so much harder for him to come back from
Sharks 22/20 Blues . Final score
So with these rules in place the positions in Pool B would see the BlitzBokkies (think that’s what we can call them, seem to remember folk using the term bokkies as a term of endearment for the girls form many moons back in Pretoria)on 7 points joint with Ireland and Australia if Blitzbokkies beat Australia, and in terms on the competition rules if the teams are level then the one who beat the other goes through to next round. But in the scenario mentioned that would see SA beat Aus, but Ireland beat SA and Aus beat Ireland. Nou wat nou makou?
Well surely the next match can’t be worse than this one. But then again it’s the Stompies playing so….
Wow well done Sharks, great comeback in the end!
Sharks played a real ‘Stormers’ style second half, went to sleep for 20 minutes, and then had to climb a mountain. Just made it in the end.
Blues tried valiantly, but just couldn’t hold out in the end. Must win everything now to stand a chance.
@ Bullscot:
Points difference or number of tries?
@ The_Young_Turk:No, its the Bulls/Kings next, in the curtain raiser
134 @ Bullscot: If you say so!!!!
132 @ Just For Kicks:
I know its hard for me to really put the point forward especially as normally try to be rational but keep the faith if Lambie is really worth his place in the Bok team then he will come out of this a bit knocked down but not out and we will (unfortunately for us Bulls) maybe see the benefit of this in the Sharks game against the Bulls, but then if he keeps on failing then surely you have to question whether he should be in the Championship squad, in which case who else as Mr Meyer didn’t really use the last tests as ‘warm ups’ so if not Lambie as Steyn’s back up then who will it be, would he gamble with a bolter in such an important position? Or I guess a back up kicking option to Morne Steyn then has to be Ruan Pienaar, now I know that’s not going to go down well with some here 😉
Well thats it from the aquarium from the clown fish and a new head bloke called Dory. Time to ease over to the Bull pit, and to hope for something a little better to feast on. See you on the other side, and thanks for the company.
Hello, am at my post at Loftus!
How are things here?
@ Just For Kicks:
Thanks for keeping us who not able to watch updated JFK, sent you a message.
141 @ Bullscot: Very tough choice, I agree, but it’s hardly HM’s fault, dare I say it, the Sharks need to control the situation a bit better. Surely giving the kicks to Butch for this match, would have let Lambie concentrate on the other aspect of his game. Maybe give him a couple of easy ones, just to slowly build his confidence?
If there was no one else in the side you could really trust with the boot, then I may concede, but to have a kicker of the calibre of Butch, makes it unforgivable, in my book. Very poor handling of a player, who, has been shoddily treated throughout his senior career, being pushed form this position to that position, being left out when clearly the better player, and then pushed to the limit when clearly struggling/
No, the heirachy have a lot to answer for.
Phweeew, Sharks left it late, hey!
138 @ The_Young_Turk:
Correct Young Turk first they go for points difference then try diff think, and Ireland who have played their 3 only have +8 points diff while the BlitzBokkies with the game to play against Aus have a +5 points difference so they need to win by at least 4 to get through, Australia points difference is a massive 53, but this may be all academic anyway as Aus have to be beaten first.
145 @ Just For Kicks:
Thanks Kickers!
Are you out of the Edit Thread?
@ nga puhi:
what a strange game
The way the Blues came back I think they deserved the win, maybe just a little more experience in the team and they might have closed it out.
The match seemed like a bit of a let down
@ grootblousmile: You missed a very poor Sharks second half, they were lucky to get this one, and if they were doing this one for Plum, they obviously didn’t rate him that highly!
