MTN Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has announced his side to front The Sharks at Ellis Park on Friday evening.
Francois du Toit, Julian Redelinghuys, Warwick Tecklenburg and Ross Cronje all move up into the starting line-up, while Chrysander Botha returns at fullback after his stint with the Namibian national side.
Meanwhile, on the bench, the MTN Lions welcome Lambert Groenewald who the GLRU has recently contracted.
The match will get under way at 19:10 while gates open from 14:00. There will be two curtain-raisers played between the MTN Golden Lions (B) and the Griffons, at 14:00, and between club outfits Harlequins and Kansas Jayhawks (USA), at 16:15.

Sharks could well take this, but I think the Lions will be more motivated, it being one of their BIG games of the year.
Maybe its just my bias, GBS, but excepting for no 9, I have to disagree with you on the other players. They may not have had the exposure that I would have liked. But they are rising stars. Ross may not have the crispest pass around, but he does have a devastating break, and tackles very well for his side.

From an outsider who supports neither side, it looks a bit bleak for the Lions, but they have motivation for the game on their side, which is a big leveller.
Every Vodacom Cup player is a “Rising Star”, still does not make them real stars…
Agree, we don’t have some good SR experience here, but we have some guys with huge potential. Hopefully they will display some of that on Friday night
