Blues penalty inside their own half
Not impressed by Antonie Claassen at all
Strange to see Claassen, Le Roux, Kotze’s names all in the French side…
Blues over the line…
TMO
Try awarded, bit dubious
Try awarded to James Parsons
France 31 / 8 Blues
Flip Blues taking a carrot from the French B team!
38 @ Scrumdown:
Blues B team as well… hell they have a schoolboy on at wing at the moment
Blues about 6m out
Try Moala, Blues
France 31 / 15 Blues
Difference is 16, 15 minutes left in the match
39 @ grootblousmile:
What happened to the philosophy that the ultimate for a club / provincial team was to test themselves against a touring international side?
Seems these days every team puts out a second string outfit when playing touring sides.
The Rugby culture has certainly changed since 1995.
Try France, mauled over the line… Benjamin Kayser
France 38 / 15 Blues
44 @ Scrumdown:
Very true… and it devalues International Tours
Blues penalty, obstructive running
47 @ grootblousmile:
Absolutely. What’s the point in sending a full touring squad away from home for 4 weeks, when the “midweek” team end up playing games against 3rd rate opposition.
It seems to me that if this trend continues, the re-birth of the “traditional” Rugby tour will die a silent cot death before reaching a crawling stage.
Pity.
France penalty, big scrum
6 Minutes to go in the match
Mermoz over
TMO
Possible obstruction
No try, obstruction ruled, and rightly so
49 @ Scrumdown:
The whole International Rugby scence needs a serious revamp!
It is bullshit as well that weakened teams come accross from up North, like we have once again now seen with Scotland here in SA.
We definately need a Global Season, and the amount of games played in a season needs to be cut. The difficult French and Japanese teams who don’t want to release players for International duty needs to be forced to release them.
For the survival and growth of the game, it is imperative that things change.
Time is up on the clock
Game over
Final Score: France 38 / 15 Blues
Hello all looks like France dominating this one. As well as three South African born players the guy Nakaitaci who has scored 2 tries is from Fiji and captain Yannick Nyanga was born in Zaire (now DRC).
57 @ Bullscot:
Hello Bully
Yip, France a regular United Nations side… hehehe
57 @ Bullscot:
Did you see, Scotland has another prop out for the weekend
54 @ grootblousmile:
The problem is that everyone connected to the game knows this, but there is far too much protecting of one’s own interests by the different parties.
The truth is that the IRB as the “owner” of the game worldwide need to take the lead on issues such as these.
Unfortunately I don’t think they have the will power to do so.
That said, I think you’re right, the game will never grow in the current poisonous enviroment.
