111 @ Scrumdown:
He did score plenty tries, though he sure cancelled that out, by giving away FAR too many penalties that cost us as well. Still a great player and in such a short time with the Sharks he done okay.
You think Lions will get Elton back? Just reading that Spenscer saying Elton does not suit the Stormers style of play and it has ruined him and should head back to the Lions as he doubts Stormers will offer him a contract.
Time is up on the clock
One last Lions penalty, quick tap…
Try Alun Wyn Jones

No boet, this is just a warm up game. A nothing game really. It is the games IN Australia where it really starts, that is where it will be exciting and looking forward to it a lot. Now here in Hong Kong playing a Baa Baa game, nah does nothing for me right now. Want to see the tests against Oz. Will be the biggie this year for sure to watch.
Right, now lets see the BI Lions go on and hammer the Aussies. Really looking forward to the series
Final Score: British & Irish Lions 59 / 8 Barbarians
@ grootblousmile:
Samoa/Lions score, please.
Okay going to watch the rest of the Lions/Samoa game.
No thread here so will catch up here later.
Cheers all.
OK, this game done and dusted… let’s go watch some lower end rugby while we wait for the Stormers / Kings game
128 @ Pietman:
MTN Lions 27 / 14 Samoa, after 42 minutes….
Biggest loss in baa-baa’s history!
132 @ TheZeeMan:
Was’nt a good Baa-Baas side though… some good okes mixed with some seriously ordinary chappies
MTN Lions penalty….
I know Samoa were very low on locks for this game, waiting for some fellas to join them from France and also having some lock injuries to contend with
Another MTN Lions penalty… not a very good touchfinder from relatively close to touch though
Try Anthony Volmink… MTN Lions from about their own line… nice try
MTN Lions 34 / 14 Samoa
Hell, Ellis Park is sooooo empty.
One would think it would be one of the big MTN Lions matches of the season and their Supporters would go to the game en masse….
Crysander Botha scores for the MTN Lions.
Samoa has no answers to the speed merchants
MTN Lions 41 / 14 Samoa
Still 20 minutes to go in the MTN Lions / Samoa match… could become really ugly for Samoa
@ grootblousmile:
Ja, weet nie gaan word van Ellispark nie, goor area daai. Lions moet Midrand toe…of daar rond.
Try Lionel Cronjé for the MTN Lions… under the sticks
MTN Lions 48 / 14 Samoa
142 @ Pietman:
Hulle moes jare terug al geskuiwe het, toe Louis Luyt wou….
Try Stokkies Hanekom, for the MTN Lions… under the sticks again
MTN Lions 55 / 14 Samoa
@ Pietman:
Of FNB Stadium…
148 @ Pietman:
FNB Stadium is ‘n uitstekende roep.
Dis buite Soweto waar die Randse Paasskou gronde is (Nasrec – reg langsaan)… daar is lekker parkering, alles.
Enigste probleem is dat daar minder Losies is….
Try Samoa… good long distance try
